ರಾಜ್ಯಪಾಲರು ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ವಚನ ಬೋಧನೆ ಆರಂಭಿಸಿದ ಬಳಿಕ ವಿಜಯ್ ಅವರು ಯಾವುದೇ ಪ್ರತಿಯನ್ನು ನೋಡದೆ ತಮಿಳಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಆತ್ಮವಿಶ್ವಾಸದಿಂದ ಗಟ್ಟಿ ದನಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ವಚನ ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸಿದರು.ಆ ವೇಳೆ ಮಧ್ಯಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಿದ ರಾಜ್ಯಪಾಲರು ವಿಜಯ್‌ ಅವರನ್ನು ತಡೆದರು. ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಯೊಬ್ಬರು ಮುದ್ರಿತ ಪ್ರತಿ ಓದುವಂತೆ ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಆಗ ವಿಜಯ್‌ ಅವರು ಮುದ್ರಿತ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಓದಿದರು.

After the Governor began administering the oath, Vijay confidently took the oath in Tamil in a loud voice without looking at any script. At that moment, the Governor interrupted and stopped him. An official then instructed Vijay to read from the printed copy, following which he read the oath from the document.
