00:19A direct warning from Tehran, to two of Europe's most powerful militaries, stay out of the
00:27Hormuz, or face the consequences. Iran is now openly threatening the United Kingdom and France
00:35over plans to deploy warships into one of the world's most volatile waterways.
00:40In a sharply worded statement, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Qasem Ghurababadi declared that
00:47any foreign naval deployment under the pretext of protecting shipping would be considered an
00:53act of escalation, and potentially an act of aggression. Tehran says the Strait of Hormuz
00:59is not, quote, common property for extra-regional powers. Instead, Iran insists it alone has the
01:07right to guarantee security in the strategic waterway, both in peace and in war.
01:14Then came the warning. Iran says if British or French warships coordinate with the United States,
01:20they will face an immediate and decisive response from Iranian armed forces.
01:26The threat comes amid growing European naval activity in the region. France has repositioned
01:32its nuclear-powered aircraft carrier, the French aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle,
01:37through the Suez Canal toward the Red Sea and Gulf of Ayan. Paris says the move is defensive,
01:44designed to help restore freedom of navigation, and potentially escort commercial vessels through
01:50dangerous Gulf waters. Meanwhile, Britain has deployed the Type 45 destroyer HMS Dragon to
01:58the Middle East. Officials describe the deployment as prudent planning. London and France are also
02:04leading a broader multinational coalition, reportedly involving more than 40 countries focused on protecting
02:11shipping lanes, mine clearing operations, and rebuilding confidence in maritime trade. European
02:18officials insist the mission would only fully activate after threats decrease or a ceasefire stabilizes the
02:25region. But Tehran sees things very differently. Iran views foreign warships near Hormuz as a direct
02:33challenge to its sovereignty, and increasingly, as cover for wider U.S.-led military pressure. The timing could
02:41hardly be more dangerous. The Gulf remains on edge after months of conflict involving Iran, the United States,
02:49Israel, and regional allies. Missile strikes, drone attacks, seized tankers, and disrupted oil flows have
02:57already transformed Hormuz into one of the most militarized waterways on Earth. Nearly 20 percent of the world's
03:05oil trade passes through this narrow maritime corridor, meaning even a minor naval incident could trigger global
03:12economic shockwaves. Analysts warn the growing concentration of military forces raises the risk of
03:20miscalculation dramatically. One confrontation, one misunderstanding, one missile launch could rapidly escalate into a direct
03:29international crisis. The message from Tehran is unmistakable. Iran does not want Western warships inside Hormuz,
03:38and Europe now faces a critical question — back down or test Iran's warning in one of the most dangerous
03:46flashpoints.
