01:11Vladimir Putin said on Saturday that the war with Ukraine is winding down, and that he would
01:16be willing to meet with President Zelensky if talks were aimed at finalizing a long-term peace
01:22deal.
01:24Speaking at Russia's annual victory parade, Putin also said he would be willing to negotiate
01:29new security arrangements for Europe, but slammed Western support for Kyiv.
01:51This year's victory parade was notably scaled down due to the conflict, and took place after
01:57U.S. President Donald Trump announced a three-day ceasefire between both sides.
02:05Moscow and Kyiv have already traded accusations of violations, with Ukraine reporting nearly

02:20The European Commission is about to finalize defense loan agreements with Poland and Lithuania.
02:25The loans form part of the EU's SAFE program to strengthen the continent's defense capabilities.
02:32Poland is said to receive the largest share worth 43 billion euros, while Lithuania will receive
02:386 billion euros.
02:39European Commissioner for Defense, Andrius Kobilius, told Euronews program Europe Today that member
02:46states should act swiftly on their defense spending.
02:49To ramp up, to produce more, to produce more fast, to shift maybe from what industries are
02:57calling themselves haute couture production, very expensive, very technological advance, but
03:01very expensive and slow to be produced to more of good enough production.
03:06And we need to see very clearly what is our strategic challenge.
03:11Still, Russia is outproducing us, and quite heavily.
03:15So that is what worries us.
03:17Kobilius said the defense industry is increasing production, but warned concerns remain among governments
03:23that manufacturers are still not scaling up quickly enough to meet urgent demand.
03:28NATO Secretary General has previously warned that Russia produced as much ammunition in three
03:34months as the alliance's 32 member states manufacture in a year.
