00:05This time, on Highway Through Hell, a Herculean lift has Jamie and Jazz airing up, a logging
00:19crew's hopes, hang on Rob's hook, and a trailblazing rescue takes reliable way off-road.
00:42Spring has arrived, in British Columbia's interior.
00:49I hate the snow, I hate the cold weather, spring has sprung and the sunshine and I'm happy
00:56for that.
00:59Charging down the Coquihola Highway, the newest addition to Jamie Davis's fleet, Hercules,
01:12a railway wrecker with a 150-ton lift capacity, triple the power of a 50-ton rotator.
01:25As far as roadway wrecks are concerned, Hercules is about the most massive machine you can
01:31get on wheels.
01:34We're going to do this job today.
01:36Another company called us out for this to give them a hand.
01:40Big truck coming down here.
01:42Very proud of this machine, and I'm looking forward to finding out what it can do.
01:48Live at large.
01:57Just ahead of Jamie.
02:00Ooh.
02:01In the 50-ton wrecker, HR 100.
02:04Oh, man.
02:07Mitch Mahood.
02:09It's my second time using the 50-ton.
02:12I'm excited to be able to show Jamie what I've learned up to this point.
02:18Wow.
02:24Oh, there's a truck on the side here.
02:34Damn.
02:36Looking at it, it's a nasty wreck.
02:40Oh, it's pretty bowed out, eh?
02:42The front's actually broken open.
02:45The customer wants it brought up intact, so we're going to attempt to do that.
02:50I have mixed feelings about this job.
02:53I think it's a 50-50 deal here.
02:56Having all the muscle you can have on this job, you can lift whatever you want to lift,
03:01but this thing will tear up a rip-up.
03:05No, that's not good.
03:30What happened on the coast?
03:32It's a semi-rollover.
03:3330 kilometers south of Kamloops, Jamie's brought out his biggest iron for a
03:45heavy recovery. But it's not even his. The job belongs to 21-year-old
03:58Jaz Sran and his company, Coca-Cola Towing. Jamie helped me out right when I was
04:05starting out. Since then, we've been pretty good friends. I've learned a lot
04:10from him. 10 tons, big winch. Well, that's all we need. I bought Mighty Mo from Jamie.
04:17But I'm running my 16-10 today just because Mighty Mo is in the shop. Jaz and his
04:25brother, Armand Sran, have been running their tow business for two years with
04:31support from their dad to Jinder Paul. Jaz is learning and figuring things out and
04:38he's got such a good personality. This is going to be a really tough job. Yeah.
04:48Early yesterday morning, the transport lost the road. Coming to a rest on a head-down angle
04:57with its roof lower than its wheels.
05:04It's going to be iffy. We've got a head-down wreck here.
05:11This thing's 20 degrees below the level line. It makes everything a lot harder.
05:19And the cargo. It's loaded with bread and the customer really wants it done fast.
05:24Has a time limit. If we start unloading this, we are going to be here for days and I doubt
05:31the cargo will be able to be salvaged. This is bad because of the load, right?
05:36It's a load of bread. We have a limited time to save that load.
05:40But to recover it loaded...
05:43These trailers are very weak.
05:45...is impossible with wreckers alone.
05:48The load would go through the side of the trailer. The only way to do this is with airbags.
05:54So we'll just start with the airbags.
05:57Bringing in the specialized inflatables, Jamie's new utility truck, HU88.
06:06Driven by his younger brother...
06:08Hang on.
06:10...Kelley Davis.
06:12Sometimes the wrecks are so big, you need extra people.
06:15Do we have guys for this?
06:18We enjoy working together. We always have.
06:22Well, the airbags are up here.
06:27Yeah, bring two guys up.
06:29This utility truck that Jamie has...
06:32How do you say it again?
06:33Ajo, ajo, ajo.
06:34Ajo, ajo.
06:35It's a pretty cool little unit.
06:40Yeah, pull them up.
06:42Yeah, two guys lift.
06:43Yeah.
06:49Nice. I want that thing, too.
06:53As the crew unloads the airbags...
06:56Middle of the trailer.
06:58...Jamie sets up the inflation system.
07:05Get a couple of guys on shovels.
07:08...and digs in to the dirty work.
07:10Okay.
07:12We need some gap for these starter bags to fit under.
07:16Oh, it's hard, eh?
07:17Usually, we're dealing with snow, but in the dirt,
07:21and it's going to mean some brutally hard work.
07:24A lot more than we thought.
07:25It's holding up everything.
07:27While space is dug out for the first airbags...
07:31Let's get setting up so we're not wasting no time.
07:34The team...
07:35The pocket, maybe?
07:37Probably around the rear end.
07:39...rigs up...
07:40You got a shackle?
07:41It's right there.
07:43And the wreckers...
07:45...get into position for the pole.
07:49We want to be able to get the recovery strap around the back end,
07:52and then look for other places where we can put some more bags under.
08:07Hercules will cradle the trailer with a strap and pull on the middle with its deck winch,
08:14while HR-100 puts lines to the tractor and trailer,
08:21and Jazz's 16-ton takes the back end.
08:27Everything good?
08:28Yeah.
08:29Jamie's ready on the highway side.
08:32How are we making out?
08:33But first...
08:34Well, that's enough.
08:35Now we can get under, right?
08:37We'll get the airbags going and get this thing happening.
08:40Here, why don't you put that one just under here?
08:43Close as you can.
08:50There you go.
08:51Okay.
08:55Going up now?
08:57I have no experience with airbags.
08:59They're completely different from all the other jobs that we do.
09:04Stay back!
09:04Stay back!
09:05If that pops out, it'll take us right out.
09:07Be careful.
09:08You can blow apart.
09:11Jamie is the airbag master here, and I'm just going to kind of follow what he says.
09:16As the airbags lift...
09:20Oh, f***!
09:22...the trailer is feeling the strain.
09:25I don't know if she's going to hang together.
09:27That load is towards the roof.
09:29It may break open.
09:31More bags.
09:32Another one here.
09:34Right there.
09:35Yeah.
09:36A hard job, this one.
09:37Oh, yeah.
09:38Because it's head down, you know?
09:41We're below the flat line.
09:43We're negative degrees here.
09:45So just getting it from negative to flat is a big job.
09:51Let's go tighten our stuff up on the other side.
09:55Jamie.
09:56Okay, wind her up.
09:57Decides to take an unusual step.
10:00A little bit.
10:05Okay, stop.
10:06And I only want to take the slack and stop.
10:08Most of the time, we want to let the airbags just do the job.
10:12Hang on.
10:14But here is a kind of an anomaly.
10:16They actually are needing extra lift from the machinery.
10:21Good enough.
10:22Because this thing is so head down.
10:25But despite the added lift.
10:27More weight seems to be in here.
10:30Yeah.
10:31The load inside.
10:33I can feel the airbag struggling to lift it up.
10:37Is proving heavier than anyone expected.
10:40So it's not bread.
10:42It's those pita wraps.
10:45That would explain why it's so heavy.
10:48When we were told 20,000 pounds total, I think we're dealing with a lot more weight.
10:55A load of pita bread could be maximum weight, 42,000 pounds.
11:00To help with the extra weight, the crew starts to rig a second strap.
11:05Okay.
11:06Hang on.
11:07Hang on.
11:08But Jamie quickly calls it off.
11:11I've decided not to use it because it's going to ply that force against the trailer.
11:15And let it hang there.
11:19The wall could crack open and your load's sitting on the ground.
11:23Let's just do our airbags.
11:26Once the bags are actually in there properly, it'll be much better, right?
11:30Yeah.
11:30They have to be down a foot at least.
11:33The airbags are tricky, but we're just going to get her done.
11:39Staying the course.
11:41They're still working away.
11:43They're still working away.
11:45They're still working away.
11:47They're still working away.
11:48They're still working away.
11:48They're still working away.
11:49The team...
11:50A little of my way a bit.
11:54...hustles...
11:54Get out, get out, get out, get out!
11:57...to get the bags...
11:59Now we're getting somewhere.
12:01...completely under the trailer.
12:03That's what you want, right there.
12:08It's been a lot of hard work, but we're kind of at about the halfway mark.
12:12What are you thinking?
12:13Maybe tighten up on that slowly as well, eh?
12:15Not a bad idea.
12:17Jazz is developing and learning and pretty sharp.
12:21Yeah, at least taking up the slack a little bit.
12:23But it's very important now not to over-winch it.
12:26Oh, okay.
12:27The bags will blow up.
12:30As the airbags lift the trailer, the wreckers will help take the weight until the trailer is high enough for
12:42their winches to take over.
12:49Okay.
12:49Good to go.
12:50Okay.
12:54Mitch!
12:55Either side, Mitch.
12:58Round one.
12:59We're trying to be gentle and take up the slack.
13:02Kelly!
13:04You want the weight to be on the bags, or they'll blow out.
13:11Okay.
13:12Stop, stop!
13:14Go!
13:17What's the word on the coke?
13:2330 kilometers south of Kamloops.
13:26Stop, stop!
13:28Go!
13:28Jamie faces off.
13:30With a formidable airbag job.
13:35I want to keep pulling.
13:36But with airbags, if you don't lay off those controls, you're going to destroy the whole job.
13:43Okay.
13:43Okay.
13:44That's good.
13:47Early yesterday morning, the transport lost the road and landed with its roof lower than its wheels.
13:59Now, Jamie.
14:01Now do yours.
14:01Do yours, Jazz.
14:03And Jazz are fighting the negative angle.
14:08This thing's so heavy, so head down.
14:11It's taking the bags and the machinery to lift this thing.
14:15How much you got on?
14:16Just keep the slack, right?
14:18Yeah.
14:19We're just letting the airbags do the work and we're kind of just helping them up a little bit.
14:25Okay, I'm going to lift a bit.
14:28Jamie climbs into Hercules and takes control of 150 tons of lifting power.
14:39Doing this first recovery with this unit, I'm learning here.
14:43You have to be the gentle giant.
14:46Having the ability to lift 300,000 pounds at a touch of the fingertip, I could just boom up and
14:53just tear that thing apart.
14:57Jazz keeps an eye on the other side.
15:01Even if one of these airbags pop out, the trailer can be ripped and it could be a mess that
15:06we're cleaning up here for days.
15:08Are they coming up okay?
15:10Yeah.
15:13As the airbags inflate, lifting up to 50,000 pounds of fully loaded trailer.
15:22I'm going to go up a bit.
15:25The heavy wreckers.
15:27Give me a little kelp.
15:28Keep pace.
15:31The bags, they're doing their job and we just keep going inch by inch.
15:40But as the bags reach full height.
15:44Stop.
15:46What?
15:47One of the bags is out at the bottom.
15:56Okay.
15:57Yeah.
15:59The bags lift 96 inches.
16:01They're out of lift.
16:03As this goes up, it comes out.
16:05Yeah.
16:05But if you get them down more, they'll push more.
16:07Okay.
16:09As the trailer comes up, the load is sliding down low against the wall.
16:15Let's shuffle these bags in.
16:17These bags need to be positioned as deep in as they can be.
16:22Try not to be under the load, okay?
16:26Dangerous.
16:28When we're going to move it in, go under the trailer then for the moment, right?
16:32Okay.
16:33We have to really, really work these bags to their best ability to get them in where they need to
16:39be.
16:39And if we don't do that, we could have a fail.
16:42Careful, careful.
16:43Two guys, that's it.
16:44Two guys.
16:45Two guys, hey, be careful.
16:47You know, danger, right?
16:48I'm kind of getting nervous.
16:50They do not want this trailer to rip.
16:53Keep going, quick, quick.
17:09Three one curve, I feel it, eh?
17:12Still snow out there.
17:15Five hundred kilometers north.
17:17Warming up good, melting this stuff.
17:19Near Quenelle.
17:22On the Barkerville Highway.
17:28Wow.
17:31How did that guy end up in the trees?
17:35Driver's okay.
17:37Lucky man.
17:41Dispatched in an auto 50 ton is owner operator, Rob Barber.
17:47We had a logging truck crash.
17:50In Quenelle, logging is our main industry.
17:54It keeps all the guys working.
17:56So they get us coming as quick as they can.
17:59Hopefully help them get out of there.
18:03Hey, here comes the torture guy.
18:08Rob arrives to find the logging company crew with a picker truck.
18:16He was here pretty quick.
18:19Unloading the wreck.
18:21Picker truck.
18:23It's a self-loading logging truck with a grapple that can lift up the logs.
18:30And then he can take all the wood to its sawmill.
18:34I'm on my way.
18:40With its valuable load removed.
18:43Look and see how much damage it is.
18:48For what it did.
18:50And moving some trees.
18:52It doesn't look too bad really.
18:56Losing a logging truck is hard because they can't replace the truck overnight.
19:02If I can get it out without hurting it, maybe they can fix it and get them back to work.
19:07But pulling it out unscathed.
19:10That one tree, I don't like that.
19:12Is easier said than done.
19:15I just don't want it to get caught up in there and bugger things up.
19:19That can be unpleasant.
19:27Five and a half hours south.
19:29There you go.
19:30Jamie's airbags have run out of lift.
19:34I'll blow that one up.
19:35And we'll do the ball.
19:38We're repositioning the bags one last time just to make sure we get the height we need.
19:45Jazz and his team.
19:47Good enough. Let's go.
19:49Are in a risky spot.
19:50I'm worried about this thing hanging here.
19:54It's big weight.
19:55You know, it's dangerous.
19:56Let's just get it in there.
19:59We want to get this done as quick as possible.
20:05With the last of the airbags.
20:07They're almost there, eh?
20:09Moved in under the load.
20:10There's not even too much weight on this wall anymore.
20:13The recovery has reached a turning point.
20:17It's time to do wreckers.
20:19We're at that point.
20:21Once we've got them down where they need to be, then it's on.
20:25Mitch!
20:25Kelly, let's get on the wrecker.
20:29With Mitch in the front.
20:31Jazz at the back.
20:32And Kelly, on Hercules' 45,000-pound deck winch, Jamie climbs back into the railway wrecker.
20:42You ready to go?
20:43To lead the charge.
20:45The point where the wreckers are taking over from the airbags.
20:49That's the most crucial part of a lift.
20:53Hey, get her!
20:55This is the most nervous point in a recovery for me.
20:59Pull! Pull, pull!
21:02Point of no return.
21:07Move!
21:09That's the moment it could go bad.
21:15All right, backs are out!
21:19Get her!
21:25Oh!
21:26Oh my god!
21:30Oh my, look at this!
21:32Crazy man!
21:34On the Coquihalla, south of Kamloops...
21:37Get her!
21:40Whoa!
21:41Jamie...
21:42Oh my god!
21:43...and Jazz...
21:44Hold it!
21:45...have lost a winch line...
21:48...at a crucial moment.
21:50Next thing you know, the chain's off.
21:53That's when things can go wrong.
21:55The airbags are out!
21:56Nothing is supporting up.
21:59The airbags are out, and now it's all up to us.
22:02Hook it back up for me, will you?
22:04Hook it back in the wheel.
22:06Yeah!
22:07We don't want to be too slow,
22:09because we don't want that thing to tip back over.
22:13That's good!
22:15Suck it up.
22:16With the deck winch re-hooked...
22:19Full kill!
22:19Full kill!
22:26The trailer...
22:30Whoa!
22:32Coming in.
22:33...is brought down.
22:36Hit!
22:37We've got the unit upright...
22:39...but it still has a terrible lean to it.
22:42Let's get Mitch unhooked now.
22:44No!
22:47We've got to get him hooked up on the front.
22:52The 50-ton gets in position...
22:55...to pull the wreck ahead.
22:57Good there!
22:58But as they hook up to the tractor...
23:01I don't think this thing is strong enough.
23:03No.
23:04I think we're going to have to take the whole bumper off.
23:07This is going to take time.
23:10We just have to work at it,
23:12keep going at it until we get it off.
23:14I won't feel good until the unit's on the pavement.
23:20It's in there, Pete.
23:21To the north, 45 minutes outside Quenelle...
23:25That one tree...
23:27Rob's logging truck recovery...
23:29...is held up by a tree.
23:32Service truck got a chainsaw?
23:35So Rob recruits one of the loggers...
23:41We'll have to cut it down...
23:42...so it doesn't hurt the truck anymore coming out.
23:50With his work cut out for him...
23:53I'm going to block a whole thing for a few minutes.
23:56Copy.
23:58Rob brings in the iron.
24:04I'll put a line on it.
24:07Give it a little tug.
24:10So I'm going to hook onto the hitch...
24:12...that pulls the trailer.
24:19The cab is torqued towards the ground.
24:22I think it'll stand up.
24:24We hope.
24:25So Rob uses the twist...
24:27...to his advantage.
24:34Hopefully I'll just pull it backwards...
24:36...and the truck will roll over...
24:37...fall back on its feet.
24:45That was easy enough, eh?
24:50Now on its wheels...
24:51...if someone wants to hop in there and steer it.
24:54Rob must drag the wreck...
24:57...up the bank...
25:03...through three feet of wet snow.
25:06The brakes are on.
25:08That snow...
25:09...it's warm out, it's even heavier.
25:12It could double the pull.
25:17Hey!
25:19But as the tractor crests the shoulder...
25:22Oh, oh!
25:25Yeah, that's not good.
25:27Rob spots a pressure point.
25:30Dragging a bit.
25:31We could rip tanks off.
25:33The tanks on these logging trucks...
25:35...they kind of hang off the bottom of the truck.
25:37They tear off really easy.
25:39Can we get someone to watch that?
25:43...raising his boom for more lift.
25:47We'll keep the tanks up high.
25:51Those tanks, are they coming okay?
25:55They can be okay.
25:59The fuel and air tanks...
26:03...glide over the snow.
26:07It worked well.
26:09Air tanks, they come out nice.
26:12With the wreck out of the woods...
26:14I'm just going to drive ahead.
26:16I'm going to drag it up, off the road.
26:20Rob moves quick to reopen the highway.
26:24Put a little traffic go.
26:26We can single aim it again.
26:31Traffic started moving now.
26:36And his customers...
26:38Not a broken window?
26:41...will soon be back to logging.
26:46Pretty amazing.
26:48I'm just happy.
26:50We got to get out of the trees...
26:51...without doing any more damage.
26:53We can get loaded and get out of here.
26:56So I'll haul it down to a shop to fix it...
26:58...before it can go back to work.
27:00It's a smooth finish...
27:03...to a busy season...
27:04...for Team Auto.
27:07It was just kind of nice and comfy...
27:10...and everybody was happy.
27:12Overall, we had a fairly decent winter.
27:15It was a good trip.
27:17Hey, you too, bud.
27:18Yeah, I'm at the side.
27:23Wrecker's on scene.
27:26Back down south on the coke.
27:29Here, I got this if it'll be better.
27:31Yeah, yeah.
27:32Jazz and Jamie's team...
27:36There you go.
27:37...are removing the bumper...
27:40It's coming.
27:41...to pull the wreck forward.
27:44A rabbit bumper.
27:45It's just for small animals...
27:47...or anything on the highway.
27:49The hooks, they're so weak...
27:51...and you can't even do a hill pull with them.
27:53We're good now, we got it.
27:55With Mitch hooked up...
27:57...Jazz climbs in to steer the truck.
28:00You ready?
28:01Yeah.
28:03And Jamie returns to the railway wrecker...
28:06We want to make sure it doesn't flip over.
28:09...to hold the leaning trailer.
28:12We all have to work in sync with each other...
28:14...in order that we have this working out okay.
28:18Mitch begins...
28:19...to winch out the nearly 75,000 pound wreck...
28:25...as Jamie keeps pace with Hercules.
28:29I have to swing with the load as it gets pulled out.
28:34Slow and steady.
28:37If I pull too much...
28:39...and he's too far back with his boom...
28:41...I could tip back over.
28:44It's wobbly, it's doing very bad.
28:48Oh...
28:50It's still working.
28:51Stayed in there for a while.
28:53On the Coquihalla...
28:55...south of Kamloops...
28:57It's wobbly, it's doing very bad.
29:00...a fully loaded tractor trailer...
29:04...threatens to tip back into the ditch.
29:07Is he winching it ahead or what?
29:12Mitch...
29:13You want to turn the wheel a little bit to the left?
29:16Yeah!
29:17...gets Jazz to steer toward the road...
29:20I'm going to do a little swing, okay?
29:22...while Jamie maintains tension with a railway wrecker.
29:27The Hercules truck has to ensure that trailer can't flip over again.
29:31We're almost there.
29:33He's almost got her up.
29:36If I can just drive it out...
29:39...brakes!
29:40After seven hours of work...
29:43...we make it look too easy.
29:45...the wreck is finally out.
29:48Nothing the boss man can't handle.
29:49That was a hard job, that wasn't an easy one.
29:53It feels great that the unit's out of the ditch.
29:55The trailer's not broken in half.
29:57The load's not sitting on the ground.
29:59And the airbags have done their job.
30:03All right.
30:05All that's left here is for the customer to deliver the load.
30:09Let's get the strong road here.
30:11And Jamie's new railway wrecker...
30:14This truck worked like a charm.
30:16...has lived up to its name.
30:18I'm going to look forward to doing more recovery work with Hercules.
30:21It's just such a powerful machine.
30:25After a long day's work...
30:27Have some pizza.
30:28...the two companies share a moment to refuel.
30:32What do you got?
30:32All meat?
30:34Yeah, I'll take that.
30:37Jazz and his crew did a great job.
30:40Okay.
30:41It was cool working with Jamie.
30:44Crazy to see machinery this big.
30:47That's it!
30:48I enjoy working with Jazz.
30:50I see hard work ethic in him.
30:52I'm ready to roll.
30:53Makes me want to help him along.
30:59I think having a community and being able to help each other is a big deal.
31:05All right, we're out of here.
31:11Drive to him, guys.
31:31265 kilometers southwest.
31:35On a Fraser Valley logging road.
31:40Woo!
31:41Reliable Tolling's military rotator hits the back country.
31:46Got this beam now.
31:48With Andy Cullum.
31:49It's always fun to go off-road.
31:54And Ethan Boyd.
31:57These jobs can be very fun, but you never really know what you're getting into.
32:02Should be pretty interesting in this truck.
32:04The military truck.
32:06It's a solid unit.
32:07I have no doubt that it'll handle any situation that comes its way.
32:13At an off-roading trailhead.
32:16How's it going?
32:17Thanks for coming.
32:19No problem. I'm Andy.
32:20Wayne.
32:21They meet Wayne Bell.
32:22How far up are you?
32:23It's two and a half to three kilometers down a side-by-side trail.
32:28Who needs help with a stranded all-terrain vehicle.
32:32Okay.
32:34Andy is familiar with side-by-sides as an active member of a local off-roading club.
32:41It's always good to get out in nature and let everything go.
32:44Woo!
32:48See what we can do.
32:51Today, Andy...
32:52Do you know how rough this ride's about to be?
32:54You gonna come up with us then?
32:56Okay.
32:58We'll take on the trail...
33:00Let's get her done.
33:01...with a six-by-six military truck.
33:07It's pretty rough.
33:09Being six-wheel drive will really help out with some of the more difficult parts of this trail.
33:17But soon...
33:18Whoa!
33:20The truck's eight-foot width...
33:22Side-by-side's a little smaller.
33:25...meets the overgrown forest.
33:29Holy cow.
33:31A narrow trail and a big white truck like this.
33:35Whoa!
33:37There could be some challenging points.
33:40One kilometer in...
33:42Yeah, this is not our least spot.
33:45...is the most difficult section.
33:47I'm gonna go check out what we're doing.
33:52A dried-up creek crossing...
33:55Well, we got this big boulder right here.
33:57...will be a tight squeeze.
33:59Keep the left tire up here.
34:02I'm gonna stand up over there.
34:03I can see you.
34:05Sounds good.
34:07What's the most challenging part of this trail?
34:10Rock obstacles.
34:11And fitting such a large truck through them.
34:16They ready?
34:18Andy...
34:19...has to steer the 30-foot record...
34:22I don't know about this.
34:24This might be too tight.
34:25...through the narrow corner.
34:27How far am I from the rock on your side?
34:30Should have enough room.
34:32If you can clear that tree, we might just scrape this rock.
34:37We're out in the wilderness.
34:39If we get stuck out here today, it's a very big deal.
34:44Yeah, we're still good.
34:45On this side.
34:54Straight!
34:55Go straight!
35:00We're on the rock.
35:16We're on the rock.
35:21It's definitely a dangerous place to be if something happens.
35:24You're out there.
35:25You're stuck.
35:26With some precise maneuvering...
35:28Just keep it that way.
35:33We're good?
35:34Andy...
35:35We're okay.
35:37...gets the eight-foot wide truck...
35:39You're clear of the boulder.
35:41...through the conflict.
35:44You got it, Andy.
35:45Woo!
35:46Nicely done.
35:54That's driving at it's finest, Andy.
36:01I got into towing from being an avid outdoor enthusiast.
36:07Woo!
36:08Good job!
36:09I'm pretty comfortable to be up here.
36:17But with the road ahead only getting tighter...
36:21Push your turn around in this open spot.
36:25The six-by-six...
36:27It's gonna be tight.
36:28...will have to complete the approach...
36:32...in reverse.
36:42Hey, we made it!
36:47It's not too damaged.
36:49Looks like it's pretty repairable.
36:53We'll hook her up and drag it back out.
36:56Go through there?
36:57Yeah.
36:58With the side-by-side rigged...
37:03...Andy climbs into the turret...
37:08...and extends the 18-foot boom.
37:13We don't want it to hit the truck as we pull it away.
37:17To prevent further damage, Andy has an idea.
37:21Ride in there and drag the brake so it doesn't smash his light bar or his roof or anything.
37:26I'm going to ride in the side-by-side...
37:29...to brake and accelerate if needed.
37:34Alright, let's boogie!
37:36Cross our fingers that this goes smooth.
37:40With Ethan on board...
37:45...the rough three-kilometer journey...
37:49...kicks off.
37:51It goes slack, then it goes up.
37:53The slack is like riding a Bronco.
37:59Ah!
38:01Holy crap!
38:04Getting tossed around like crazy.
38:06Let me get my head taken off out here.
38:10Up ahead.
38:11That's it.
38:13They need to cross back over the creek bed.
38:19Oh, man.
38:20That's bad.
38:22Alright.
38:24Let's do this.
38:27With Ethan inside, it's a little crazy.
38:31I don't know if this was a good idea or not.
38:37I'm driving it without being able to steer.
38:40Completely relying on Andy.
38:44Come on, baby.
38:45Get up there.
38:49This is super sketchy.
38:55It's really steep.
38:57Almost.
38:58Lots of loose rocks.
38:59It's hard to get it to bite.
39:01It's hard to get it to bite.
39:05Oh, there we go.
39:08Whoa.
39:09I'm at risk of rolling.
39:11It's intense.
39:13He's right at the edge of it.
39:16Keep going, Andy.
39:17We can't turn back.
39:18Whoa!
39:22Almost.
39:24There's the rock.
39:26North of Mission.
39:29Reliables Riverbed Rescue.
39:31Whoa.
39:33I'm right at the tipping point.
39:35Along for a wild ride.
39:37I lean the opposite way so I don't end up on my lid.
39:43Ethan, it's Wayne.
39:44The owner.
39:45Can you put it in drive and drive it forward just a little bit?
39:49Tells Ethan to give it some gas.
39:55I'm giving it throttle.
39:57To make it over some of these obstacles.
40:02There we go.
40:03Perfect.
40:06Whoa!
40:09Oh, we should have this.
40:16Having overcome the tricky crossing.
40:19Go have a look at this.
40:21Andy checks in on his passenger.
40:26Holy cow.
40:27I was like this.
40:28Yeah, no, I saw you sitting like this.
40:31Nothing I could do.
40:34The adrenaline is just, it's unmatched right now.
40:38We're good to go.
40:46But they still have a kilometer of overgrown trail.
40:53Whoa!
40:57Oh my goodness.
41:02This short little trip.
41:04Pretty smooth sailing.
41:05Now that we're on that main road.
41:07It's a lot of fun.
41:10Yeah.
41:11Arriving back at the trail head.
41:14It's a good adventure.
41:16The injured side by side is loaded onto the owner's trailer.
41:23That's good.
41:25Wayne's happy we got his machine out without any further damage.
41:31Thanks guys, couldn't have done it without you.
41:32Yeah, anytime.
41:33Appreciate it.
41:34It was fun seeing you get around that corner.
41:37Yeah, we got things, places most people don't want to try.
41:41Good day, successful day.
41:43It's time to clear out and get out of here.
41:45That's it.
41:46All right, let's rock and roll.
41:54With the people we have, the different experiences we have, I'm so impressed with the ability to get the jobs
42:01done.
42:02That's a great feeling, so I'm impressed.
42:05I think the future is really bright for this company.
42:12Nice and warm.
42:14In hope.
42:16It's almost like summer.
42:18From Jamie's yard, it's just a stone's throw.
42:23To Silver Creek.
42:28It's kind of our little secret swimming hole.
42:32This is where I come and hang out.
42:35Enjoy nature.
42:39It's a changing world.
42:43The economy.
42:45Global warming.
42:46The industry itself.
42:48Pretty unpredictable.
42:52Lots of competition.
42:55I think the secret right now is to be diversified.
42:58Different equipment that we have.
43:00For different clients.
43:02In different industries.
43:04Not just transport.
43:07Things will work out.
43:09Sometimes you just got to let the river run.
43:12Take care, PC.
43:15Thank you, driver.
43:25Take care.
43:42Raceber akl нашаб scoate.
43:44όlla bucks?
43:46Be sure.
43:46On the other side of the town future.
43:48You were tired.
