00:09It's also the only love song, some of the only love songs I've made.
00:12And I love, I love getting a chance to like try to do something more traditional.
00:16Is that a challenge for you to write like just classic love songs?
00:19No, I like, there's so much to love in my life and so many people I love.
00:23I think it's more like convincing myself that like,
00:25it's okay to write a song that feels like a little less like about mental
00:28health or like about right hard things in my life and just being like happy.
00:32And like when it's just like purely an expression of love,
00:34like my instinct is never to do that.
00:36And so it's actually like a challenge to like fight against the instinct to try to
00:39like be sad.
00:40Yeah, totally.
00:41It starts to kind of become like all encompassing.
00:43This idea that you have to make sad music or like that.
00:45It's supposed to sound sad.
00:46Yes.
00:47So it's a little scary to like branch out in that way sometimes.
00:50But I mean, people say that's like a cliche, but I think it's a real thing that
00:53like sometimes you question, like, do I have to be sad to write or to be even
00:58creative and totally I've lived by that mindset for so long.
01:01I've only recently started like challenging that selfishly.
01:04It just felt too shitty to do all the time.
