00:00Knicks Sixers was a series a lot of people were excited for, understandably so, and the Knicks taking game one
00:11in the fashion that they did, I don't think really ruined any of that excitement because the idea, ah, the
00:19rest, and they're at home.
00:21Well, game two, things get thrown completely out the window, it feels, due to Joel Embiid being injured.
00:27And yet Philly almost steals that game, fourth quarter lead.
00:31I think they led for probably as much of that game as they trailed.
00:35Neither team, I think, were up by eight points or more than eight, which is not something you really see
00:41in today's game.
00:43Yet they dropped the game, they're back to Philadelphia, can they get it right?
00:47Well, they end up with Embiid back, OG Ananobi on the other side of the floor out, and close as
00:53four and a half point favorites.
00:54They jumped on the Knicks early with a Paul George barrage, but by halftime, they trailed, and they could never
01:02really pull this thing back here, Coach.
01:05108-94, the Knicks win and under.
01:08What was your biggest takeaway from game number three of Knicks Sixers?
01:15You know, I've been thinking about this for a while and really watching games one, two, and three.
01:23And I spoke to someone in the media, and I'm going to come out and say it.
01:28Right now, the Sixers are a better team without Joel Embiid.
01:33For three, for long portions of the game.
01:36If the game is close, I think if they had Embiid game two, fourth quarter, I think they could probably
01:44steal it.
01:45Because coming up, it became a half-court game, walk it up, no one could make a shot.
01:50You throw it to Embiid, he'll create fouls, he'll get to the foul line.
01:54Kevin, I just don't see offensive flow out of them.
01:58Game two, I saw flow.
02:00I saw Maxi, uber-aggressive.
02:03I saw playoff P, the playoff P, at least for the first quarter last time as well.
02:09I saw Edgecombe looking for a shot.
02:11And honestly, I saw Kelly Oubre in spots playing well.
02:16They don't have depth, and the ball tends to stop with Joel because Joel is more interested in getting fouls
02:25than creating opportunities.
02:27And it just looks like it becomes stagnant.
02:30New York did a really good job last night of flooding McCain, flooding him.
02:36Not McCain, Maxi, flooding him, making him give the ball up.
02:40But at the end of the day, as much as people knock Jalen Bronson for iso ball,
02:44Kevin, he has to take more shots.
02:48They've got to find a way.
02:49Either twist action, either try and kind of slip it and give them space to get switches.
02:55I just think that they're kind of stuck in mud.
02:58And if it wasn't for Paul George's first quarter, this isn't even a game last night.
03:05This is a 25-point blowout.
03:08And that is the problem with Philadelphia.
03:10They're relying on three guards to score a ton.
03:14One, there's no bench.
03:17And Jared McCain, I hate to say it, would be a big difference in this series because Quentin Grimes, as
03:23soon as the blow lights turn on, he turns into a pumpkin.
03:26Okay, so here is my pushback on some of that.
03:34I have found the Nick Nurse decisions with how much he's playing his guys to be borderline immature.
03:50Tibbs.
03:51Tyrese, but I don't even know if Tibbs ever did this.
03:56Game two, Tyrese Maxey plays 47 minutes.
03:58You guys scored 12 points in the fourth quarter.
04:01Nobody has legs.
04:02Oh, we're all trying to figure out who did this.
04:05Like, Adem Bona started for the Philadelphia 76ers a handful of basketball games.
04:14He doesn't play one second of this game until it was mop-up duty.
04:18That's unnecessary.
04:19You closed with Dominic Barlow for about 16 straight minutes in game two because you liked what he gave you.
04:28And then he only went 12 minutes.
04:30Andre Drummond started for you in game two.
04:35Four minutes.
04:37I think Trendon Wofford can play a little bit.
04:39I've seen Justin Edwards hit a couple of shots.
04:42Like, are we sure Kyle Lowry couldn't give you four minutes?
04:46Are we sure Janai Broom?
04:48I'm sorry.
04:49Like, I know this is – I know it's not college, but, like, Janai Broom, who went out there and
04:55finished second in the Wooden Award, literally – like, he's a rookie.
05:00He can't give you four minutes so every single sixer game now they get into the fourth quarter and they
05:07can't score the basketball?
05:09It's pathetic.
