00:06:18What an honour it's been to be able to work with the most amazing special people and play this crazy
00:06:28game.
00:06:29It's been a wild ride.
00:06:31I want to kind of start on my redemption.
00:06:34I feel like my whole life, guys, I have been a bit of an underdog.
00:06:40I have been underestimated.
00:06:43And, look, I feel like I was underestimated in this game.
00:06:48Caleb Chaos was almost a bit of a front.
00:06:52But I've played a very tactical game and it's literally led me here to be final two.
00:06:59I felt like everybody knew what my mission was.
00:07:04It was the year of the underdogs.
00:07:07I pitched that us underdogs, we are going to really struggle against the best players.
00:07:13So why don't we all unite and get out the returnees.
00:07:17But then I made an alliance with Mark.
00:07:22I played one of the best double agent games I've ever seen.
00:07:27And I put a big blindside on one of the hugest players of the game.
00:07:34Then after that, I managed to stay in the right majority alliance,
00:07:39create the right relationships with the right people the whole time to make the final four.
00:07:44And then me and Loz, we teamed up, we put two votes on Sally.
00:07:50Sally and Jacko put two votes on me, we went to fire.
00:07:54And ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, I made the quickest fire in a challenge in Australian Survivor History.
00:08:03Then we went to an individual immunity challenge and I finally won my first one.
00:08:09I lasted four hours and ten minutes on those pegs, which then led to me one of the hardest decisions.
00:08:17Why the hell did I take Jacko and not Loz?
00:08:24As I was up there, I realised something.
00:08:28She's taking Jackson.
00:08:30Otherwise, we could just get off.
00:08:31And I was like, I've got to take Jackson if I want to win.

00:08:46It's just an amazing feeling.

00:09:45I took out a nearly 100-day player with just 10 days in this game and a sad-looking fleet.
00:09:52I got very lucky in tribe swap, but I didn't let the luck just go to waste.
00:09:57I had Ben and Brooke, who needed a new alliance.
00:10:02And we gathered all of the troops.
00:10:04We looked around at a target, and who'd we land on?
00:10:08The big, bad Asha.
00:10:09And then we got her.
00:10:11The Beauty and the Beast.

00:10:16This is where I made, I think, my biggest move in the game and the hardest move in the game.

00:10:29But I saw Keely, Brooke, and Simon, and I saw my ticket to the final four of this game.
00:10:35I traded one beautiful shield for three more beautiful shields.
00:10:43And then, lo and behold, come end game.
00:10:45I have no allies left in this game.
00:10:47The only way through is to win a necklace.
00:10:50And you know what I did?
00:10:51I got myself a two-piece feet.
00:10:53I clutch up and I fill a hole in my resume in the physical challenge department.
00:11:00And battled my way through to the final three.
00:11:06I fought so hard tooth and nail every day.
00:11:09I got knocked down and I got back up again smarter.
00:11:13It wasn't survival, it was evolution.
00:11:16I proved that I was the biggest beast in the Beauty and the Beast.
00:11:19I was the only one in Club Kaput that didn't go kaput.
00:11:22And I am gonna be the only underdog left barking on the mountain.
00:11:27I'm sure as heck the only underdog that would run side by side with the big dogs.

00:12:49When I came to play survivor, I had a bit of a strategy, which was to commit as many survivor
00:12:58crimes as I could.

00:13:05And so I want to hear from you guys about whether your game is similar to someone with a rap
00:13:14sheet of petty crimes or is it major crimes?
00:13:19Look, I got a bit of a rap sheet going.
00:13:22Moments like winning a fire challenge.
00:13:24Moments like staying on awful pegs for four and a half hours or getting out of redemption beach.
00:13:30I got a few there that I kind of covered in my opening pitch.
00:13:38Think of crimes like risk, okay?
00:13:41So is there any crime or risk that you wish that you did make and you didn't?
00:13:49I think my biggest risk I didn't take was putting more faith into Loz.
00:13:55I think throughout the game, I had opportunities to really go forward with her in this game.
00:14:01And trusting her survivor instincts.
00:14:04Because she, man, she played a great, great game.

00:14:18I think out of everyone here, you are the one person that didn't come out laser focused on gunning for
00:14:26returnees.
00:14:27The way that you used us to your advantage, I found incredible and very, very rare.
00:14:36I would just, I don't want to say that we're talking about fear or hesitation to work with returnees.
00:14:45This man right here was not afraid to talk to me on night one.
00:14:49But he also wanted you gone from the first travels.
00:14:52I needed to learn.
00:14:54I needed to learn from the best.
00:14:56And what a better way than to find the best players.
00:15:00And like, the thing is, Mark, you know, I, I, that was really hard for me in the end to
00:15:05make that flip.

00:16:08But I could back it up because I hid myself in very tight shields.
00:16:13And when I made these big moves, like eliminating Ben and placing myself under the care of Keeley, Brook and

00:16:19I tucked myself away in there.
00:16:21Did I have to continue to drive boats hard every single day?
00:16:25No, that's a good way to put a target on your back.
00:16:29My problem in this game is when people play passenger for too long and hide in the numbers.
00:16:38Yeah, look, I, um, with the underdogs that I had on my tribe, I was also pitching and we were
00:16:46literally waiting for opportunities to strike.
00:16:49If you weren't such a passenger, can you give an example on a time that you were driving and influencing
00:16:55a decision?
00:16:56When were you in the driver's seat?
00:17:00Every single time working with the returnees, at the same time having my foot in the other door with underdogs,
00:17:09you know what I mean?
00:17:10Waiting and watching for enough numbers there and being able to play this big, amazing double game.
00:17:19I think that, look, your double agent play and you're flying under the radar and an espionage and all that
00:17:27is amazing.
00:17:28But if you're claiming that, then I'm going to sit here and claim it too.
00:17:32Because in my head, the concept of double agent is simply playing survivor.
00:17:36Playing this game is lying and telling people that you're going with this plan, but actually it's going to be
00:17:41this one.
00:17:42Can I just jump in? Caleb, can you explain to the jury how much you manipulated me?

00:17:50You did. You absolutely did. From day one until I got voted off.
00:17:54And you could have voted Ben or you could have voted me and you chose to vote me.
00:17:59I literally played a game where I could totally have Mark as my alliance.
00:18:06And I would get every single little bit of information from Mark and do the same thing to the other
00:18:12group.
00:18:14At one time, I'm telling Mark all these crazy names from the underdogs, which none of them were real.
00:18:20And at the same time, I'm working with Mark saying, oh yeah, I'm going to do this big Ben vote.
00:18:26I saw you do the double agent thing with Mark.
00:18:30And I saw Mark believe you until the very last second.
00:18:34The girls thought that Mark needed a T-shirt that said, I love Caleb.
00:18:37Because everyone was trying to tell Mark, do not trust Caleb.
00:18:42And yet he still did.

00:20:49and I watched you have personal chats with lots of people around me,
00:20:54and I really made an effort to talk to you, to get to know you.

00:46:28something happens up on those pigs like it's just you have this kind of experience which is really hard
00:46:34to describe and over that course i just started to wonder like it started to creep in yeah so i
00:46:41definitely started building the doubt up on those pigs well this season was defined by huge tribal councils
00:46:48with some of the juiciest most mind-blowing tribals australian survivor has ever seen

00:50:26already ready to play like returnees so i just have to give them credit that they came after me
00:50:32um i think it was a great play um they have my number well this season really proved that when
00:50:40everyone comes to play great players can go home at any moment paula hi daddy you landed on the beach
00:50:49made great allies started making moves and then you're blindsided is your head still spinning
00:50:55it was painful to watch but i think that kind of really started everything up
00:51:02lotty had our number and she clocked us pretty quickly which was uh unsettling to say the least
00:51:08and simon you dirty dog mark your first season is known for its wild gameplay were you surprised by
00:51:19how crazy these tribals were or did it feel like coming home i loved the season that i first played
00:51:25in and i learned so much from the other players that i played with so i was just taking lessons
00:51:30from
00:51:30all of the greats they were the ghosts that were haunting me but also they taught me all my lessons

00:51:36i just went out there i'm like hey if ferris and kirby and eileen and edith and bow everyone if

00:51:42can do these great moves to tribal why can't i and so from day one i was not holding back

00:56:37player and i wasn't afraid of making moves um i knew that my chances of winning the game were low

00:56:42just go out there have fun and i know that these other newbies if they get another chance they'll
00:56:48do the same thing and i can't wait to see them do it hundred percent
00:56:54richard you were on the receiving end of a brutal blind side for mark i mean it looked like you

00:57:46soul well they might have been the sister wives of the head office but this duo were a deadly force
00:57:52all of their own it's faith and keely who runs the world us faith and i are basically the sister

00:58:06to mark he's very possessive they're very very close we need to think about who's next i mean i'm thinking

00:58:31shocked really really shocked crazy that was like totally mind-blowing i'm not disappointed i'm not

00:58:55keely to me is the most dangerous player in this game and i'm seriously scared of that woman

01:18:33i've sat through a lot of tribal councils and i gotta tell you that took nerves of steel
01:18:40jackson you were the first one to clock that that idol might have been a fake
01:18:44what cleared you in that she was hiding it bro brooke's like when she wants to be she's a loud
01:18:51player if it was real she'd be wearing around that neck and showing it in all our faces she hid
01:18:55it in her jacket dodgy ass dodgy ass simon there's apparently two idols a lot of confusion but you still
01:19:04flipped on your alliance and voted for brooke why yeah that was um it was a no-brainer for me
01:19:10because
01:19:10like look i knew about the fake idol i knew about the real idol and i had to play along
01:19:15with that
01:19:15one there but and i had to think about myself waking up the next day and i was like i
01:19:20power to them i hope these girls can get through and i need something to get me through on the
01:19:27next
01:19:27one and i needed to show my allegiance to ben and jackson and sure enough like throwing that vote on
01:19:33brooke you know obviously it wasn't great for my relationship with brooke at that time but it saved
01:19:37just on the next one and opened the door for the uh for jackson to come and flip over so
01:19:41like that
01:19:42didn't happen without throwing that vote on brooke well cheerily everyone's voted you play your real
01:19:49idol for brooke but if you're wrong you'd go home how sure were you that you'd made the right call
01:19:56i was look i was pretty confident that i had made the right call i got to know these guys
01:20:02pretty well
01:20:03and their voting patterns and they were so passionate about getting out their attorneys
01:20:07they wanted to write their name down and put it in the urn so i was i was worried i
01:20:13thought maybe one
01:20:14or two keely votes in that urn and it paid off yeah it really did yeah big risk big reward

01:22:05to be honest i put this brave face on and pretend i'm this big strong funny personality but
01:22:13underneath i'm i'm my biggest critic but right now this is the proudest i've ever been in myself

01:22:24with individual immunity i was wanting to prove to myself that i'm still the same 23 year old me and

01:22:34just as strong and resilient and crazy i'm just a mum now and i definitely prove that to myself
01:22:42so i i do feel redeemed
01:22:54welcome back to the survivor reunion this season was all about redemption
01:23:01that meant that everyone walked onto the beach with something very personal driving their game
01:23:07caleb you stood on that mat on day one and said you were playing for young caleb
01:23:12what do you think your journey in this game could teach young caleb about himself now
01:23:16look trust myself more you know what i mean because a lot of the time it feels like my heart
01:23:23and my mind are in battle and i feel like that's when i make a lot of mistakes and i
01:23:28should trust
01:23:29myself more trust others more because when i start doing it i start winning
01:23:39loz you came into the game wanting to reclaim your strength and make your girls proud how do you
01:23:45think survivors changed you i definitely went out to prove something and to show my kids and my family
01:23:51how tough i am and how resilient i am how strong i am and through the game i really got
01:23:56to really
01:23:57experience you know being proud of myself so yeah

01:24:20every time you've played you've brought your whole heart to this game what is it about survivor
01:24:26that is so special yeah i i'm sorry um
01:24:42as a fan of australian survivor watching these amazing players in the first generation from
01:24:47season one through to all-stars to then you know put on a buff for the first time and give
01:24:53it a crack
01:24:54i was i felt like i was just the fan who got their shot and i was not going to
01:24:59leave any stone unturned
01:25:01and i was going to make the most of every single moment every single breath to do everyone proud
01:25:06to myself proud and yeah i just i've been overwhelmed by what this has given me and it's it's it's
01:25:14been one
01:25:15hell of a journey yeah well you've certainly done the play of our face crown
