00:00We as a society are getting stupid.
00:03We've become over-reliant on our phones
00:04and now with AI, we are using them more than ever.
00:07I can't tell you the last time that I drove without using Google Maps.
00:11So today I'm going to find out how stupid I really am.
00:14Because right now, me and Michael Reeves are at the southernmost point in Japan.
00:17And over the next two weeks, we're going to try to find our way to the northernmost point of Japan.
00:21And I say try, because we're doing it with a few rules.
00:24Rule number one is no technology.
00:26If I want to talk to someone, I'm not allowed to use Google Translate or ChatGPT.
00:29I just have to use whatever Japanese I've picked up from my sex tourist teacher.
00:33That also means we're not allowed to use Google Maps.
00:35Not just for traveling, but also to figure out where to eat.
00:38Or where to stay at night.
00:40Or where to stop to get gas.
00:42And just to make sure we're playing honest, we've swapped out our smartphones for flip phones.
00:45Rule number two, no highways.
00:47Michael and I have been wanting to do this trip for a while,
00:49so it wouldn't feel right if we spent our entire trip in Japan looking at different toll roads.
00:54So the question is simple.
00:55Can two brain-rotted Americans make it across the entire country of Japan without a map?
00:59There's going to be a daily vlog uploaded on my YouTube channel every day,
01:02covering our journey.
01:03And that all starts tomorrow.
01:06No!
01:07There is some liquid spill.
01:09There is liquid.
