00:00Yeah, I'm delighted that, you know, however close it was, enough people voted for me as the new MSP for
00:05Inverness and Nurn and I'm determined to serve both them and everyone else, whether they voted or not, to the
00:10best of my ability for the next five years.
00:12Well, you know, Fergus has a number of things he can look back and point to and say, you know,
00:16I made a difference there or I'm the reason that this came into being.
00:21I've got a few of my own from the last five years and so I hope that, you know, five
00:25years from now I will have even more to be able to look back and to leave a legacy and
00:30hopefully, you know, pass that on to the next representative and, yeah, hopefully I won't feel tempted to stand against
00:36them.
00:37I'm disappointed for my colleagues. I think, you know, Marie Todd has been a fantastic government minister.
00:42I'm going to head back in there shortly and make sure that we get every vote right and see if
00:46there are enough SNP regional votes to get her back in and I very much hope there are.
00:51I have a members bill that I am really keen to introduce to better protect victims of sexual crimes and
00:58see more of them access justice.
01:00So I will be reaching out to a few experts that I have had the pleasure of meeting over the
01:05last five years to speak about what that should look like and the best way to go about it.
01:09And I look forward to introducing that and consulting on it as soon as possible in the next session.
