00:00It's a brilliant 10k, but Logan Rhys is the Baxter's River Ness 10k Men's Champion, followed by Max Abernethy of
00:09Aberdeen AC.
00:10It's a stunning performance here, certainly looks to me like it's sub 30 minutes.
00:15Logan, congratulations winning the River Ness 10k.
00:20Happy with your performance?
00:22It was good, it was a good race.
00:24Me and Max were together the whole way until the last 200m or so, so we kind of worked quite
00:28well together, so it was fun.
00:30It was nice to win, yeah.
00:32Was it touch and go between yourself and Max during the race?
00:34Yeah, I don't think we put it pretty even between the two of us, you know, he's taking a k
00:39or so and putting a wee digs in.
00:42And it was only that last k where we both kind of got a wee bit of an edge, but
00:47it wasn't much in it, it was pretty tight.
00:49Yes sir, holy gulf.
00:51Of course you're the course record holder aren't you, for the 10k.
00:54What does that title mean to you?
00:56To win again, I mean, two years ago I won, got the course record and that was great, and then
01:00last year I came up again and came second in a tight race again with Sean Chalmers.
01:05So it was nice to come back and win again, that's pretty cool, yeah.
01:09And how's 2026 been for you so far?
01:12Not great, first half was, I think I was just a bit fatigued, still we're quite a big 2025.
01:19We've not actually raced for three months, since the end of May, we took about mud off and we're just
01:26suddenly building back up.
01:27A little bit fresher, which is good, and the train's going well, so hopefully for the rest of the year.
01:31I'm back to defend your final next year.
01:33Yes sir, I hope to, yeah. I love coming here, it's a nice race.
01:36My sister lives up here, so it's a nice trip, and we've got friends here as well, so yeah, I
01:39really like coming here.
01:40Congratulations, thank you very much.
