Is Saros worth picking up? In this review, I break down why it's my second favorite game of the year, from its challenging, fast-paced combat to its stunning PS5 graphics. We'll also cover its one major flaw: replay-ability.

00:00Of all the games I've played so far in 2026, Saros is my second favorite of the year.
00:05Let's run a quick game check to see what this game did well and what it didn't.
00:10And everything is spoiler free, of course.
00:12Check. Story.
00:14It plays a lot with time, the order of things, past, present, future, and it keeps you wondering the entire
00:19game, but in a good way.
00:21Check. Gameplay.
00:22The gameplay is very fast-paced and challenging, and it rewards players who take their time exploring for goodies like
00:28upgraded weapons or abilities.
00:30Check. Graphics.
00:32I played the entire thing on PS5 Pro, and the 4K 60fps gameplay looked amazing.
00:36There was so much detail on the planet, the character models, the design.
00:40Check. DualSense features.
00:42The DualSense comes to life in this game.
00:45All the different gunfights, the interactions you have with enemies, and the 3D audio on top of that makes the
00:51entire game sound amazing.
00:53One area that I would flag for you guys is replayability.
00:56There aren't really any side quests.
00:59There's little things to collect, but it's one of those games that you really are exploring the area around you
01:04for the sake of upgrading your character for the next run.
01:07It's not really the type of game you go back, do some side quests, learn more about the story.
01:12It's more of like a, you know, pick up a voice memo or a note that might give some more
01:15context.
01:16Let me know in the comments if you're going to be checking out Saros or if you have any other
01:19questions for me.
01:20Let me know in the comments if you have any questions.
