00:00These apple pie energy balls are the perfect snack for that midday slump and they can get
00:04you through the day because they're sweet but they also have a lot of nutrients and are good for you.
00:08The first thing you want to do is grab your dates and remove the pit.
00:12Then just put the date on your cutting board, cut it in half, and then cut it into smaller chunks.
00:16Put your chopped dates into a bowl and then cover with some boiling water.
00:20This will help soften the dates and allow them to mix with the other ingredients much easier.
00:24To your food processor, add some oats, chopped dried apples, almond butter, toasted chopped pecans,
00:31some cinnamon, and your soaked dates. Process until it's finely chopped and comes together into a ball.
00:36Then you can use your fingers or you can grab an ice cream scoop to grab about two tablespoons of
00:40the
00:40mixture and then roll nice even balls. And then you want to refrigerate these for at least 15 minutes
00:45for up to a week. They're really really good. Obviously it's not the same texture as apple pie,
00:54there's not like a crispy flaky crust or the gooey apples, but it's giving me all the same flavors.
00:59It almost reminds me of like those energy bars and I do feel more energized. I'm like ready to go
01:03with my day.
01:04Delicious. A perfect snack, a good little sweet treat. Love it.
