00:04tore through Mississippi Wednesday night into early Thursday morning. The massive storms blasted
00:10several counties across the central and western parts of the state, toppling trees, downing power
00:15lines, and ripping apart homes. More than 15,000 people are still without access to power as of
00:21late Thursday morning. Officials say at least 14 tornadoes were reported, though only one is
00:26confirmed so far. No deaths to report, but at least 17 people were injured, including 12 from a
00:32trailer park community devastated in Lincoln County. That's about 65 miles southwest of Jackson.
00:38Governor Tate Reeves says the American Red Cross and the Cajun Navy are now helping with shelter
00:44and relief efforts as emergency crews work to clear roads and assess damage across the state.
