Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim held bilateral meetings with his counterparts from Singapore and Laos on the sidelines of the 48th Asean Summit and Related Meetings Thursday (May 7).

Anwar, who arrived in Cebu earlier Thursday, met with Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong to strengthen strategic cooperation based on mutual interests, regional stability and the prosperity of both nations.

00:43On regional matters, Anwar emphasised the importance of a lasting ceasefire in West Asia
00:50and ASEAN's role in safeguarding regional stability and global supply chain continuity.
00:56Anwar also met with Lao Prime Minister Sonekse Sifandoni,
01:01reaffirming Malaysia's commitment to expanding cooperation in trade, investment,
01:07renewable energy, defence and regional connectivity,
01:11including the ASEAN Express Rail Network and the Laos-Thailand-Malaysia-Singapore Power Integration Project.
01:18The 48th ASEAN Summit, with energy resilience and food security expected to dominate discussions,
