00:01:13here at Idol HQ this is not the end of their journey it's only the beginning day one got off
00:01:31to a red hot star yes that's the best audition I have ever seen the judges awarded five coveted
00:01:40golden tickets so who will impress today did these singers have what it takes to be the next

00:02:30for a living uh I'm a musician and I also take care of my dad who has cancer oh it

00:02:37stuff it sure does it really does wow that's a big job it is a big job yeah it's actually
00:02:43uh both my
00:02:43parents and unfortunately my mum passed away I was her full-time carer she's no longer here but uh
00:02:48oh my god Charlie yeah far out and that's I don't know when that is do you know just laying

00:02:59with mum yeah it's one of the things when I was younger actually remember remember that day my mum
00:03:10was a a beautiful person I used to call her like the the light beacon because people would just just
00:03:16to attract her bubbly just laughing all the time she had a laugh that you could hear from down the
00:03:21street something really wasn't right with her she she wasn't her normal self and we took her straight
00:03:31to the hospital they said I'm really sorry to say but you your mum has a brain tumor the size
00:03:37of a
00:03:37blood orange in her head a couple days later she had brain surgery couldn't remove all the tumour
00:03:49um and then she had chemo radiology she was just so so brave she passed away very peacefully and I
00:03:56was
00:03:56there with her so she lasted about a year yeah I wouldn't trade the the sacrifice that I made for
00:04:07her for anything because I got to spend that time with my mum yeah but you know what props to
00:04:15you
00:04:15for thank you looking after them when they needed you as they looked after us you know of course yeah
00:04:22and so it was my it was my pleasure to look on that it is man what are you going
