Chelsea interim manager Calum Macfarlane on the fitness of Levi Colwill, Jesse Derry and Reece James ahead of facing Liverpool in the Premier League
Cobham, London, UK
Transcript
00:02Yeah, we've got a few lads returning, so Levi's trained another full week again,
00:07Reece as well, so yeah, looking promising.
00:11And a big boost, having those two back, how close are both of them to start, do you feel?
00:16Yeah, we've still got another session, they both trained fully today, so we're hopeful, we're hopeful.
00:21And how's Jesse Derry after that nasty knock?
00:26Yeah, I spoke to Jesse's dad the night it happened.
00:29I spoke to the family yesterday as well, and it's positive, it's really positive.
00:34I don't have the knowledge or the insights to go into massive detail, but all early signs are really positive.
00:41Such a difficult one for him, so he's shown so much positivity, hasn't he?
00:49Yeah, it's really disappointing, obviously, as long as he's healthy and the way it's looking now is all that really
00:54matters.
00:55But it was great to give him his debut.
00:57I worked with Jesse at the under-21s, he's had a fantastic season.
01:00He's not going to be available for us from now to the end of the season now, so it's an
01:05abrupt end to his season.
01:06But amazing for him to make his debut, and I think he showed in that first half his quality and
01:11what he can bring to this team.
