00:09The Dutch Foreign Ministry said the passengers left the MV Hondias during a stop at the remote South Atlantic island
00:15of St. Helena.
00:17Among those who disembarked was the wife of the 70-year-old Dutchman who had died after falling ill during
00:23the voyage.
00:24She later took a commercial flight to South Africa, where she collapsed and died in hospital.
00:30The cruise operator, Oceanwide Expeditions, had previously only confirmed that the Dutch woman left the ship with her husband's body,
00:37but hadn't publicly acknowledged that dozens of other passengers also disembarked.
00:42Authorities across Europe and Africa are now tracing all passengers who have left the ship at various stops,
00:48including the latest at the British Overseas Territory.
00:52Meanwhile, Spanish authorities say their 14 citizens on board the vessel will be taken to Tenerife
00:57before being transported to the capital, Madrid.
01:00They will then be quarantined for 45 days at Spain's most advanced isolation facility
01:05and regularly examined for any traces of the virus before being discharged.
