00:04on sale this week 726 1986 Toyota Celica Supra I haven't seen one actually for years I didn't
00:13actually know what we're coming from here our Celica Toyota Celica Supra long bonnet low roof
00:22flared arches it's the Japanese e-type in it 508 is the big Mercedes fire engine there you are I
00:31thought
00:31it must be worth this sort of money mustn't it I saw some photographs of it legs are out and
00:37that
00:37boom thing there was 75 foot in the air or something I don't know it was right up there
00:41and I thought that's interesting isn't it and all good yeah came arrived started and that's when it
00:49all went wrong really the Aston Martin the DB6 the mark 2 the rarest one out the lot as we
00:55know
00:55which the right color the right spec the right year the right model everything's dead right about it
01:03many lads driven a DB6 at 17 is it yeah look something else don't they nice car
01:11like that yeah she's alright the Matthewsons a dynasty of classic car auctioneers 55 the joys of an
01:24auction most people will go to a sale with something in mind but come away with something different the
01:29fun is the chase we'll have a look and we'll advise you from there you just don't know what's on
01:33the end
01:33of the phone what are you gonna find when you open them doors this is a family's love affair with
01:38motors that have lived a life testing testing most people will buy a car because they can relate to
01:45it maybe a car that dad had you're selling dreams right here we go
02:03another week begins with a larger than usual arrival it's red noisy and stands out a mile
02:11oh what's coming in now I don't know I don't know anything about large delivery I don't know what's
02:17coming you know what's going out does it blow water about everywhere does it all right I don't know
02:25anything about a fire engine or the firemen coming in it it's cool though isn't it if you wanted I'm
02:37like look at that it's mega in it but where are we gonna put it the engine came here from
02:42a private
02:43collector in Ireland who also needed some space it's not got any blues and twos or anything you
02:50know it's just passing through I think you'd think surely that I'd still be used to him in some way
02:55shape or form wouldn't you like why would you bring it out of service I know what you mean it's
03:00not old
03:00enough is it not really pensioned off oh funny I'd be uniform oh big cab like in it they are
03:10aren't
03:11they there's gonna be like five or six hundred grand there and you reckon as much as that and
03:17then now it's worth 10p in it oh that was lovely on tip oh here we are look you see
03:31yeah well these
03:34do them bits and that and that does that those things it should be clear by now that Paul never
03:42made the grade as a fireman hey hey you like that don't you kill that it's a big leg in
03:51it
03:54you don't want to go down you don't want to go in either they have to go oh yeah you
04:01have to go
04:06this is the moment when you realize that doing the okie-cokie with a fire engine is the wrong idea
04:12so current situation is we've got a right leg out unable to retract basically yeah luckily he did it
04:23and not me so like the proverbial well-oiled machine the classic car commandos operate with
04:37precision and the very best intelligence I don't know what I'm going for don't know I'm meeting don't
04:45know where I'm going so it's the usual last-minute thing oh I love it yeah it makes it all
04:51all part of
04:51the fun don't it when you don't know who you're gonna meet what you're gonna go for so no we'll
04:55soon find out all being well Charlie's coming down with me and yeah so we can give me an like
05:00so no
05:00it's good Charlie's on board now taking a load of pressure off so you know I'm done I ain't got
05:05a
05:05clue what I'm going for I'm just gonna yeah just arrive really see what happens I got a winch got
05:10a
05:10trailer got Charlie what more do you need that's it we'll be all right I love driving it and knowing
05:27that we wouldn't see another one you might get passed by e-type drags and Aston Martins but you
05:33weren't going to get passed by a Toyota Celica Andrew Longmuir has had his for more than 30 years but
05:40it's not your common or garden Celica it's a Toyota Celica Supra it's got a 2.8 twin cam electronic
05:48ignition nice cruising car for someone my age it's quite a firm ride so time to let it go
06:00the reason I partly that I kept it for so many years was that I was going to give it
06:06to my son but
06:09he got married and had a child and sort of the thought of being responsible for the car putting
06:18it back on the road has waned a bit it was one of the delights of owning it was driving
06:25it round and
06:25people not realizing what it is because I don't think many people will see them Toyota's answer
06:36to Datsun's all-conquering 280 Z was a stretched out version of the Celica powered by a straight
06:42six-cylinder engine they gave it a new badge and the Celica Supra was born the first gen looked the
06:49part even if the performance lacked a bit of punch still rear-wheel drive and fuel injection made it a
06:55fun if not exactly earth-shattering ride 1982 saw the arrival of a totally remodeled 2.8 litre version
07:04complete with an eight-band graphic equalizer that made your Spandau body tapes sound like Tony Hadley
07:10was in the passenger seat the new Supra's first arrived in strictly limited numbers and like big
07:16hair and shoulder pads not many survived the 80s it's reckoned there are fewer than 10 left in the country
07:23today
07:31right inside it's a bit dusty it's got air conditioning cruise control it's a five-speed manual box which
07:42is a bit unusual as well most of them are automatics it's obviously got a limited slip diff the handling
07:49of
07:49it is enjoyable there's never been any question about my love for the car but now it's to see it
07:59ending
08:00up like this I need to get something done about it it would be nice if it went for well
08:08anything more
08:09than three and a half thousand it's classic car wash day and proving he's as much a dab hand with
08:27a
08:27chamois leather as a gavel is the washer-upper in chief what a lovely car lovely car lovely color
08:37absolutely banger how many cars I've washed and clean if I've washed 10,000 there must be must
08:45have must have washed 10,000 or something or more and probably cleaned half of that and more I don't
08:51know really wouldn't really bother me if I didn't wash anymore you know really
09:01I suppose basically I'll wash and clean probably 20-25 a week for 50 years or something how many is
09:12that
09:12it's quite a lot isn't it
09:35it is simply one of the most beautiful shapes ever crafted I mean it's kind of Mozart in 3d isn't
09:43it
09:43really waxing lyrical about this Aston Martin DB6 his owner and full-on Aston enthusiast Aidan
09:51Merkert this particular example is a DB6 mark 2 only 170 something like that mark twos were made for
10:02the UK market this car is an extraordinary example because it is an unrestored example but when you look
10:11at it you would never know it is absolutely beautiful if come and take a peek inside the interior
10:20well I just think is magical I truly do right there we go
10:27I mean driving down the road a beautiful sound isn't it
10:30oh absolutely absolutely and the extraordinary thing is because this is an unrestored example I'm
10:36actually not scared to use it
10:38I prefer not to be out in the rain but if it rains it rains
10:41but here we go look at that one fat lump this is unrestored
10:48yes people
10:49I suppose care enough for these things to make sure that they will survive in fabulous condition
10:56and you've been very very proud to own it
10:59yeah absolutely would be a lie to say I don't feel good driving up the road in it
11:04because I do feel good every time I go out I'm driving a victory lap
11:13and the sound have you listened to a car going past
11:22the DB6 is the jewel in Aidan's collection but he's also partial to the odd MG
11:31they're pretty they really are they are so so lovely and they're very affordable very manageable
11:36if you're looking for cheap classic car this is the one to buy this is not like a modern car
11:43it's not an iPad with a wheel at each corner you know this is what I like to call an
11:48analog car
11:50whenever I go out in this one and we do go out in them whenever I go out in this
11:54I feel I'm in a Miss Marple film
11:58this is a sleek neat car there's no door handles on the MGA
12:04do you athletically get in by
12:06no you've got a string that you have to pull on the inside
12:10although the problem with that is if it's raining and the windows up and the roof is on
12:16it's a bit of a challenge to actually open the doors
12:22Hayden's already got plans for the cash from the sale
12:25he's giving it all to the charitable causes he supports
12:28we can invest heavily in
12:31educational projects we run a school in India which is a charitable school
12:35we also have a big interest in a new school in Birmingham
12:39and as I was looking at this I thought it's a beautiful car but it's a thing
12:42and I'm turning this thing and indeed some of the other things here we are going to be turning that
12:48into
12:49people change lives
12:52I don't just want somebody to stick it in a museum
12:55how much better is it to actually experience the past by driving it
13:00yeah you could stick it in a garage
13:03disconnect the battery and say I'll come back in 15 years
13:06but where's the fun in that
13:07now this is a car I'm hoping somebody will love it for what it is
13:11and use it because of what it is
13:20few British marks inspire such affection as a vintage Sunbeam
13:25well-built reliable and fun to drive
13:28the roots manufactured Talbots, Rapiers and Alpines
13:31have always done well at the Pickering auctions
13:35lot number 482 Sunbeam Talbot 90
13:38100% genuine car
13:40third and last time provisionally
13:43lot number 32 is the Sunbeam Rapier
13:45hammer coming down at 67
13:49Sunbeam Alpine
13:50very very solid looking car
13:52third and last time 5100
13:55there you go well done 5-1
13:59there are a couple of Alpines coming up in the next auction
14:02one a full-on restoration job
14:05the other finished to perfection
14:08do you know what every now and then
14:12an item turns up doesn't it
14:14and you think
14:14oh I like that
14:15I like that
14:17that's that item for me
14:18in this auction
14:19that's my car
14:23I've got a thing about wheels see
14:24I like nice wheels
14:25and it sits up nice
14:27very often they're a bit tired
14:28a bit saggy
14:29you know you open the door
14:30they drop a bit
14:31this one doesn't
14:32it just opens closes nice
14:35all right gaps not perfect
14:36it's not perfect on the body
14:38but it just
14:39I don't know it just draws me in
14:41for some reason
14:41and I could quite happily run about
14:43next summer
14:44in that car
14:45brilliant
14:46absolutely great
14:46yeah
14:47yeah
14:47so I like that car
14:49the pros of buying one that somebody else has restored
14:51you're not too sure what's under that glossy green are we
14:55but you can drive it
14:56if you want one your spec
14:58if you want to know what's underneath it
15:01everything else
15:01then you restore one don't you
15:03and how much would you be looking for this one
15:05I haven't seen any figures to be fair
15:07but I would have thought that's going to be like
15:09seven or eight grand I would have thought
15:10as opposed to probably two or three grand over there
15:16here we go look
15:17wanting
15:21bit of love
15:22but look further
15:24than first impressions
15:26it's not as bad as it may seem
15:28not for a sunbeam
15:30it's not rotten
15:31like a sunbeam
15:32very often it is
15:33all right
15:34free
15:35there you go
15:36engine's free
15:37so that's a bonus innit
15:38and the actual car itself
15:40back arches are rotten
15:42couple of bits down here
15:43bits and pieces
15:44but
15:45a lot of it
15:46it's not bad
15:47not bad
15:49what's the door bottom look splicing in
15:51what's the wheel arch rear quarter bottom look
15:53boot lid looks good
15:55got a boot floor look
15:57I mean
15:58when you see the car from over the other end of the shed
16:01to then come over and see a boot floor in it
16:03that's good
16:05so anyway you've got choice haven't you
16:07if your budget stretches to restore one and make it beautiful
16:11crack on
16:12if it doesn't
16:13buy one like that
16:14that's nice and user-friendly
16:16and off you go
16:186.48
16:1964
16:20sunbeam our point
16:21there she is
16:22been parked up for a little while
16:23as you can well see
16:25but what potential that's got
16:27can't go wrong with it
16:282,000 pound
16:292,000 pound
16:30North Yorkshire
16:312,000 pound
16:322,000 pound
16:33absolutely for nothing
16:34maiden bid
16:35never heard anything like it before
16:362,000 pound
16:38gonna go
16:382,000 pound for the first

17:33and there's three of them
17:34yeah for me
17:34they just
17:35they just
17:35look
17:35just
17:36look a bit
17:37fancier really
17:38just look a bit fancier
17:48Jack and Charlie have travelled almost the full length of the M62 to Chester
17:53Maria Maria
17:55alright then
17:56and they still don't know what for
17:59I didn't actually know what we were coming for but here
18:01oh Celica
18:03yep
18:06you didn't tell me that bit Jake did you?
18:09oh wow
18:10Toyota Celica Supra
18:28Celica Supra
18:29today
18:30see off most BMWs
18:32I bet it would yeah
18:33I think it's quite futuristic for it's time don't you
18:36mmm
18:37I think with it being 2.8 manual
18:40I think it would have been a bit like a spaceship wouldn't it really
18:43yeah
18:43it would have been good fun
18:44still will be today
18:45when have you last had it running
18:47it's about six years I think
18:49since it's been
18:49oh so it shouldn't take many minutes then I'd like to think to get it going and
18:52I tell you what just with a wash off and a massive coat of polish it would change it all
18:57together wouldn't it
18:59arches and things are all very solid they're very good
19:02feels good
19:03lovely
19:04other two
19:06well that's handy at least they're all holding air so far
19:08one more to go
19:09I didn't know whether to expect a
19:13Supra
19:14i.e. the Supra
19:16the proper one
19:18or like a 2002 Celica
19:20I didn't know what to expect
19:22and then you open the door to that and think oh that's lovely isn't it
19:25getting them out the way
19:28handles at this end lad
19:29I know
19:31there we go
19:35I think we've got tighter drag
19:37straight up a wee bit
19:38all right that side Andrew
19:39yeah
19:40oh there you go Mr Muscles over here
19:43keep it going
19:44oh she's got a stiff spot that's why
19:48that's heavy
19:50there we go
19:50there we go
19:50get truck moved up
19:58not easy enough didn't it
20:10precision that
20:14straight
20:17that'll do
20:18yeah
20:18my aim was originally to get it
20:21up to the Isle of Arran and drive it on the Isle of Arran
20:24but
20:26someone else can do that
20:35what did you buy it for back in the day
20:38i paid the guy two thousand pounds for it
20:41well i think we'll be in profit
20:42good good good
20:43well we'll see what it makes
20:44we'll be on our way then
20:46all right
20:46thank you very much
21:02what do you want these big donors
21:16it's easy to do it this way
21:19make more noise
21:35make it from pickering high street
21:4780 pound for the third and last time
21:50the artists of the pickering memorabilia team
21:53have worked their magic once again
21:56and demand for the signs and symbols
21:58is brisk
21:59we've got number 603
22:00is the alpha dealer sign
22:02here with the alpha dealer sign
22:03we've got
22:04at 520 pounds
22:06be warned
22:08495 is the honda
22:10the big honda sign
22:12there you are
22:13look at that
22:13got we all done and dusted
22:15at 120 pounds
22:17sold
22:19643
22:19Porsche martini racing sign
22:2125 pound
22:22and are we there at 225
22:24at 225
22:25then hammers coming down
22:26and are we all done and dusted
22:27at 225
22:29thought to keep michael happy
22:31because he wants it in his shed
22:38do you know when something
22:39appears to be a good idea on paper
22:41and then
22:43reality kicks in
22:45when dave agreed to sell it
22:46he hadn't reckoned
22:47on reality
22:48kicking in quite so hard
22:50i saw some photographs of it
22:53legs were out
22:54and that boom thing there
22:55was 75 foot in the air
22:57or something i don't know
22:57it was right up there
22:58and i thought
22:59that's interesting isn't it
23:02surely there must be somebody
23:03who wants to give
23:0520 grand for a machine
23:06that probably costs 300,000
23:08and all good
23:10yeah came
23:10arrived
23:11started
23:13and that's when it all went wrong
23:15really
23:16we can't get that leg out
23:18or back in or anything
23:19that's that just seems to want to stay there
23:22but yeah we've been in here
23:24and we've had all this apart
23:26and we've checked things
23:27and we've swapped things
23:28and we've pulled things
23:29and we've poked things
23:31and most things work
23:34it's just the bits that we want to work
23:36don't
23:37there you are
23:38see if he wants one
23:40there you go
23:43he might be rushing to go and buy one
23:47but yeah what else can you do with it
23:48it is just very specialist
23:50that's the trouble
23:51it's not the sort of fire engine
23:52you can park outside the house
23:54is it at home
23:55not really is it
23:57you know and think that
23:58oh no one will notice
24:00mm-hmm they will
24:02yeah this time i might have
24:03bitten off more than i can chew maybe
24:09508
24:10508
24:10is the big mercedes fire engine
24:12there you are
24:13again my fault
24:14it's here
24:15i just thought for the money
24:17when you compare them to the fact
24:18they're about 500,000 pound new
24:20and i thought it must be worth
24:22this sort of money mustn't it
24:23there you go
24:24anyone want to jump in at 15,000
24:26i'll bring it down to 15
24:27if you need one
24:28and you've got to have one
24:30to meet some regs
24:31there you go
24:3115,000 pound if not
24:32we'll have to move on
24:33i just thought it looked absolutely for nothing
24:42no bids
24:43no budding fireman sams
24:45and unless paul can get the leg in
24:47no going back to the vendor either
24:50yeah go on
24:52that computer system there is registering a fault somewhere
24:56we can't move anything
24:57so the only way we can get it in
24:59is to take the pipes off from the ram
25:04and override it and push it back in

29:33so yeah japanese six cylinder on top of the job

32:23nice car
32:24nice car
32:27yeah she's all right
32:33ready
32:50i mean
32:51and many lads driven a db six at seven in his
32:57Yeah, it looks something else, don't they?
33:01The gearbox is a bit stiff, a bit notchy. It's not bad, it's OK, it's all right.
33:07But, yeah, I see why there's such a following for them now.
33:13Before everyone shouts James Bond's car, Paul's got a message.
33:18It was actually a DB5 in the film, but everyone thinks it's a 6.
33:23I like to see a bit of wear on a seat and things.
33:25Why is that?
33:26Well, because if you haven't got a bit of wear on a seat,
33:28you've got a new seat, haven't you?
33:29And then you haven't got an old Aston, have you? You've got a new Aston.
33:33Yeah, various bills and invoices here, look.
33:34I'm going to take them all upstairs in a minute.
33:36Loads and loads of old MOTs, look.
33:39Coachwork's lovely, wheels are lovely.
33:43There we go, look. Great, isn't she?
33:45Not overdone, just nice.
33:47Four-litre inline straight six, lovely.
33:51Look at the steering wheel, look.
33:53It just says, hold me, doesn't it?
33:56Are we talking real craftsmanship here?
33:59Not really, we're talking thrown together, if you think about it,
34:02because they're built out of bits, weren't they?
34:04Generally speaking, I'm going to get well shot for that, aren't I?
34:07Look at the switch for the interior light.
34:11It's a switch off of something, completely random, and it doesn't fit,
34:15so they put a bolt in to get your pin to come out and press your switch.
34:20It is very agricultural, very primitive, but they work, don't they?
34:25Let's be fair, most people who own them are going to be jumping up and down, aren't they?
34:28And I'm really sorry for you guys for that, but it is a fact of life.
34:31They are largely made up of bits and pieces, and they are one-offs, aren't they?
34:37Where's Tom running?
34:39Ooh, vulgar, vulgar.
34:41I suspect it's going to do somewhere.
34:45My gut, 165, 175.
34:48So let's hope it goes off to pastures new, kept like that, and used all summer.
35:00The Aston Martin, the DB6, the Mark II, the rarest one out of the lot, as we know.
35:05It's the right colour, the right spec, the right year, the right model.
35:08Everything's dead right about it.
35:10The proceeds are going to be used to support a charity.
35:13So let's make a start.
35:14150, I've got 150 and 160.
35:17160, 170.
35:18170.
35:20170,000.
35:215, he said.
35:22175.
35:23180.
35:24180.
35:24Back with me.
35:25180.
35:26Go in then, 180,000 pounds is the 5.
35:29185.
35:29185, 190.
35:31190.
35:32Jill's bid, 190.
35:33Right, we're at 190.
35:345, 195.
35:35Bid 195.
35:36Do you want to do 200?
35:38Do you want 200?
35:39Do you want 200?
35:40195 we got.
35:41200.
35:42200.
35:42200.
35:42He's a very wise buyer.
35:43200.
35:44So it's our bid at 200,000.
35:45200,000.
35:46All done then, 200,000 pounds.
35:48For that money, 200,000.
35:50They don't come up like this every day.
35:52Jill's phone.
35:53Going to submit it then, 200,000.
35:55200,000.
35:56Get your hammer down, Derek.
35:57Stop messing it out.
35:58200,000 for the first.
36:00200,000 for the second.
36:01Third and last time.
36:03On Jill's telephone, 200,000.
36:06Sold.
36:08Well done, Greg.
36:09Congratulations.
36:10You've got yourself an Aston.
36:14He's happy.
36:15He's very happy.
36:19It's just the quintessential British Aston Martin sports car.
36:23Particularly the Mark II, the shape of it has always been something that's stood out for me as one of
36:31the most beautiful cars.
36:33New owner Greg Michael was so happy, he turned up the day after to collect.
36:40Sit in your car.
36:43How about that?
36:44That's amazing.
36:45Yes, she has a beauty.
36:46Lovely, isn't it?
36:47It's fantastic.
36:49It's the appearance and the design and the look of them.
36:51There's just nothing like them, is there?
36:53It's been a childhood dream.
36:54Absolutely.
36:55It's been 45 years waiting since I've been here.
36:58Good luck to you.
36:58Good luck to you.
36:59Greg's got a long drive back home.
37:01But what's the betting?
37:03He enjoys every single mile.
37:11North of the border, in the fine city of Glasgow, it's not just the architecture that's a feast for the
37:17eyes.
37:18We have the 905 GT Turbo, there's only about three or four left in the UK, and I've got one
37:24of them.
37:25Neil Clark's been building up a collection of cars that tell a story of hot hatch speed.
37:31The Toyota GT4, it's a great car to drive, it's phenomenal, it really is, and it does turn heads.
37:36But there's two of them together.
37:38You said two GT4s.
37:40Two of them?
37:40Yeah.
37:41Why not?
37:42Have four if they're good.
37:44All of which brings us nicely to Neil's latest acquisition, the 1986 Celica Supra.
37:51They came in to the country, you only could get ten at a time.
37:56They wouldn't allow any more in, which was surprising.
37:59And obviously they were expensive.
38:01Back then, to have a car which was, you know, 145 brake horsepower was just unbelievable.
38:06That was like, you know, it was a rocket.
38:07We were running about in cars at 70, 80 horsepower.
38:10The design features on those cars, I mean, they went a lot and bothered to get this car to look
38:15the way it is.
38:16It cried out for me to buy it.
38:18But a car that hadn't moved in a while had some issues that needed a bit of left-field thinking
38:24to fix.
38:25We got the tank out and we looked inside it and went, oh, oh dear.
38:29The fuel goes off.
38:30It looks like varnish inside.
38:32It smells terrible.
38:33And the tank looks like it's got a lot of corrosion in it.
38:36We used to put litres and litres of vinegar, gallons of the stuff inside it.
38:40So you could put every material you can, nuts and bolts, screws, bit of chain, whatever you might be.
38:46And you just put it inside it and you slush it about until your arms are aching.
38:50You do it the next day and then you leave it a couple of days and you look inside it
38:53and it starts to look a lot better, a lot cleaner.
38:55And you just do it again and then eventually you treat it with bicarbonate soda to neutralise the situation with
39:00the vinegar.
39:01So the Supra has been keeping the mechanics busy.
39:04And Malcolm Campbell has enjoyed the chance to work on the old stuff.
39:09You have to use your own brain.
39:11You have to use your experience.
39:13You look at the car, you then make a decision on how you're going to fix that car.
39:18And that's where the enjoyment comes.
39:20It's not just someone, a computer telling you how to repair it.
39:27Thank you, Malcolm.
39:28Job done.
39:30Brilliant.
39:31Thanks, Malcolm.
39:33Sounds fantastic.
39:36You don't see it that much now.
39:38Inspection lamp of the cars.
39:42Double overhead cam.
39:44Slight tick off the engine.
39:46That hopefully will go away when we do an engine flush and we'll take it a run.
39:51And there you go.
39:52You'll have one lovely car.
40:10Nice exhaust note.
40:15Sounds very healthy.
40:18Taking the Sunbeam Alpine for a spin through the glorious county Durham countryside is new owner David Dye.
40:26I was actually looking for an Alpine if I could find one.
40:29One day I looked and I saw this one.
40:31I put a bid in absolute rock bottom of the estimate and nobody else bid for it.
40:38It's a lovely car.
40:40It's a lovely car.
40:40Really comfortable to drive.
40:44The interior's lovely Magnolia leather.
40:49The dashboard clocks have all been done in the Magnolia faces and nice walnut dashboard and so on.
40:55It's really a nice car.
40:57It's quite easy to get in and out which was one of the reasons I looked at it in the
41:02first place.
41:02I thought it would be easier than the MG.
41:05On the MG I'd have to put one leg in and I'd get hold of my foot and lift it
41:09in by hand with this one.
41:14I can actually get in it and shut the door.
41:19I'll lift the bonnet and see what's going on.
41:23I put a new fuel pump on which is down here.
41:27It's a bit awkward to get at but once you've done it a few times you can do it quite
41:31easily.
41:32You get the wheel off and you can do it from underneath much easier than from the top.
41:35But that's old cars.
41:36You learn how to do it by doing it basically.
41:40You can read the book all day but it doesn't help you to get the bolts undone sometimes.
41:45You're very much a...
41:48Tight.
41:51Fix it, don't buy it.
41:54It's got all my total costs of everything on.
41:57I can't tell you exactly how much I've spent on it.
41:59Can I guess later on?
42:01Sorry?
42:01Can I guess?
42:02Yeah.
42:03I'll live in there for now.
42:10Good test of its pulling power up the hill here.
42:14This is where it scores well over the MG.
42:19Goes over rough roads very smoothly.
42:23I was in and out the gears really easily.
42:26Doesn't clunk.
42:31This is where it's fairly hard work.
42:33Very tight bends.
42:41It's very heavy steering with not having power steering on it.
42:46It's all part of the character of the old cars.
42:49So how much did it cost?
42:51Total cost of parts.
42:53Not counting the hours and hours and hours of labour.
42:57508 pounds and 68 pence.
43:03I can't see it being a problem for a lot of years to come.
43:06So it'll probably see me out as a classic car.
43:09It's going to be a good all-round car.
43:12I'm really pleased with the buy.
43:15.
43:15à
43:15.
43:17.
43:42.
