The FIFA president says prices reflect market rates - despite criticism
Transcript
00:00We are in a market in which entertainment is the most developed in the world, so we have to apply
00:10market rates. In the US, it is permitted to resell tickets as well.
00:20So if you were to sell tickets at a price which is too low, these tickets would be resold at
00:27a much higher price. And as a matter of fact, even though some people are saying that the ticket prices
00:33we have are high, they still end up on the resale market at an even higher price, more than double
00:41of our price, the price that we put.
00:43We have 20% of the group stage, 25% actually of the group stage match tickets who can be
00:50bought for less than $300. You cannot go to watch in the US a college game, not even speaking about
01:00a top professional game, of a certain level for less than $300. And this is the World Cup.
