00:00The administration has obviously promised to bring consequences to Mexico when it comes to corrupt politicians that might have ties
00:06to the criminal cartels.
00:08We've already seen some visa revocations. What are the consequences beyond those revocations?
00:13Well, we announced last week that there's been an indictment filed against the governor down in Mexico out of the
00:19Southern District of New York.
00:20I think that that's something that we've done in the past, but we're certainly going to continue to do that.
00:26And by the way, we have a very good relationship with the Mexican government right now.
00:30I mean, I think they recognize the importance of their relationship with us and also that that relationship now depends
00:37on cooperation and support in the immigration space, combating drug trafficking and things like that.
00:43So I don't want to suggest that our relationship is bad. To the contrary, we have a very positive relationship
00:49with a lot of the government in Mexico right now.
00:52So could we see more indictments? Is that something that could be in the future?
00:55Sure. Yes. And we've already indicted multiple government officials out of Mexico, a judge recently as well.
01:02And so that's something that that will continue.
01:05So one consequence of having the a lot of the leaders of some of these cartels brought here over the
01:11past year in our cooperation with the Mexican government is some of them will likely want to cooperate.
01:17And that cooperation could lead to additional charges.
01:20So how do you think today?
