00:00You may have heard of Ridgelands Farms. It is a facility, a research facility in Wisconsin
00:06that was using beagles for research. They use beagles apparently because they're small in size
00:13and they have a very docile temperament. Well, it appears that a special prosecutor identified
00:20them as having violated standards in some of the eye procedures that I will not get into
00:26because it will make you sick, that it was conducting on beagles. As a result of that,
00:32Laurie Simmons, Big Dog Ranch, and a lot of significant people got involved to rescue these
00:38beagles. So far, there are 1,500 beagles that are being rescued as a result of a deal where literally
00:46the dog rescuers have to pay for the beagles in order to get this research facility to give those
00:53dogs up. Now, the Ridgeland Farm will lose its license because they were selling the beagles
00:59to other facilities so they could do research on them. We really have to stay on top of these
01:05facilities that are really abusing animals under the title of doing research. These animals have
01:12no options. I mean, they're victims, complete victims. And what's happening to them is outrageous.
