00:00Hi, everyone. You may know that I love animals. And from the time I was a young prosecutor,
00:05I started prosecuting animal cruelty cases. Well, of late, you may have heard of Ridgeland's Farms.
00:11It is a facility, a research facility in Wisconsin that was using beagles for research. They use
00:20beagles apparently because they're small in size and they have a very docile temperament. Well,
00:26it appears that a special prosecutor identified them as having violated standards in some of the
00:33eye procedures that I will not get into because it will make you sick that it was conducting on
00:38beagles. As a result of that, Maury Simmons, Big Dog Ranch, and a lot of significant people got
00:45involved to rescue these beagles. So far, there are 1,500 beagles that are being rescued as a result
00:53of a deal where literally the dog rescuers have to pay for the beagles in order to get this research
01:00facility to give those dogs up. Now, the Ridgeland Farm will lose its license because they were selling
01:08the beagles to other facilities so they could do research on them. We really have to stay on top
01:14of these facilities that are really abusing animals under the title of doing research. These animals
01:21have no options. I mean, they're victims, complete victims. And what's happening to them is outrageous.
01:29And a special shout out to Lori Simmons and the Big Dog Ranch, which has done incredible work on behalf
01:38of
01:38abused animals. If it were not for Lori and people like her, this deal would never have been accomplished.
01:45God bless you, Lori, for everything that you do.
