00:04Hi, Anna here from Heroes Take Turns. We finally reached this moment.
00:10Welcome to Olden Era's Early Access.
00:13On April 30th, Heroes of Might & Magic Olden Era was finally released in Early Access.
00:20You can now purchase it on Steam, install it, and play it right away.
00:24You can also download it through PC Game Pass if you are subscribed to it.
00:29There is also a lot of content available in Early Access, so let's start with an overview of all the
00:35single-player game modes that will be there, to help you navigate all the features easier.
00:40Let's proceed, shall we?
00:42At first, you will be given an option to play the tutorial in order to grasp the main mechanics of
00:48the game.
00:49It is highly recommended for new players to finish it, as there you will be taught the basic mechanics and
00:55controls of Olden Era and learn what it's like.
00:58After that, for the more experienced players, you can look into Challenges, a set of advanced puzzles, available in the
01:06separate tab.
01:07Once you are done learning the basics or solving the challenges, you can continue with the Non-Linear Campaign mode.
01:14This will feature the first act of the campaign that contains multiple missions, with much more to be added with
01:21the full release of the game.
01:23Of course, you will be able to choose the difficulty that suits you the most, based on your experience.
01:30There, you will get to see a part of Olden Era's story in your own way, as your choices will
01:35affect which missions you can play.
01:38Also, a part of the single-player experience, if you want to play a smaller story, you can look into
01:44Scenarios.
01:45These handcrafted maps offer a full experience built around a specific tale or theme.
01:51As early access progresses, more of these will be added into the game by the developers.
01:56The first option you will see in Olden Era, upon choosing the Quick Start option in the New Game tab,
02:02is the Redesigned and Fresh Arena mode.
02:05A quick fight between you and one opponent, where both of you will be able to choose your preferred hero,
02:11skills, units, spells and artifacts.
02:14This mode is great for new players to learn the basics of the game quickly, as it allows you to
02:20immediately jump into combat,
02:22and see all the strategic and tactical variety the game has to offer.
02:27If you want to experience the game fully, the second choice is the Classic mode,
02:31where you will be able to field up to 8 heroes and fully explore the map while expanding your starting
02:38and conquered towns.
02:39You can face up to 7 other opponents who will try to claim the riches found in the world before
02:44you do.
02:45If you want a more relaxed experience and would like to control just one hero, the Single Hero mode awaits
02:52you.
02:52The pace here is a bit slower, but the stakes are higher.
02:56Be careful not to lose your chosen hero or you will lose the game.
03:00Both Single Hero and Classic modes will feature a very large amount of templates.
03:05Those are the present settings used by the Random Map Generator.
03:09This will provide a lot of options depending on each player's preference and will greatly improve replayability.
03:16These different templates will also feature various victory conditions like
03:21capturing a specific town, controlling a town for a specific amount of days,
03:29or winning a set amount of specific fights against the opponent.
03:34Olden Era is the first game in the series where a lot of care was put into the multiplayer experience.
03:40For those of you with a competitive spirit, an automated ranked matchmaking system alongside the leaderboards
03:47will be available for the Arena, Single Hero and Classic modes.
03:51You will fight there against one another for rating and climb the ranks to prove who is the best heroes
03:57player in the game.
03:58If you want more freedom of choice, you can also choose to host your own custom lobby,
04:03where you can play a large variety of templates with any other player,
04:08as well as any maps made by the community in the future.
04:12The custom lobby is a perfect place to play with friends online,
04:16as you get to choose your own rules and settings for the map or template you decide to play on.
04:22This will not affect your ranking in the ranked matchmaking.
04:25Additionally, those of you that like to play with friends using one computer will be able to do so.
04:31Olden Era's Early Access feature the Hot Seat mode,
04:35where you can take turns one player after another without the need for internet access.
04:40It's a perfect mode for relaxed matches against family, friends or significant others.
04:46For all the creators out there looking to share their own stories,
04:50the Early Access will also feature a beta version of the Map Editor,
04:54which you can use to create your own maps.
04:57Keep in mind that it is still in development,
04:59and it will be greatly improved as Early Access progresses.
05:03There are many more changes present in the game that you will have to discover on your own as you
05:08play the game.
05:09The release of Early Access is a major step for the developers,
05:14who are grateful and thankful for you and your support.
05:17As it's not a full release yet, there may be bugs and issues, but those will be regularly hotfixed.
