00:00But if we look at this in the context of the wider world,
00:04what does this mean about India and Narendra Modi's position on an international stage?
00:10And especially when it comes to President Donald Trump,
00:12because a lot of the time now we look at tariffs,
00:15we look at what President Donald Trump and how he rules,
00:18and he's sort of the pinnacle and everyone kind of works around him.
00:22Absolutely. I mean, there is a strong relationship between Modi and Trump.
00:27But with respect to this election, there was a strong anti-incumbency sentiment.
00:31And it essentially means that there is no leftist party in the country at this point,
00:36which obviously will give momentum to BJP.
00:39The voters are absolutely jubilant, and it is a morale booster for BJP going forward.
00:47India has no set term limit for a prime minister,
00:51but Narendra Modi has not made his intentions clear
00:54whether he will be running in 2029 elections.
00:57But he has always been this crowd puller in these elections and rallies,
01:01where he is the chief mastermind behind all of these,
01:04as the Home Minister, Ahmed Shah.
01:07And coming to Donald Trump, obviously, given their strong ties,
01:12this election results among the states will essentially be seen favorably
01:17by the Trump administration because it will be easier for them to engage with
01:22the Modi administration if it comes to power in 2029.
01:26And it will always be easy for them to have those trade deals in favor of the U.S.
01:29if that is the case indeed.
