00:00My question is with this press conference clearly being about if you see
00:05allegations of wrongdoing around polling, let us know.
00:10I'm curious why neither of you took any effort to investigate Eric Swalwell and
00:17his residency in California, considering there was credible allegations that he
00:23wasn't a California resident.
00:25But my understanding from those who talked and information that came out that
00:29there was some investigation done into Swalwell by the by the candidates who
00:33was running against him as well as some others.
00:35So you leave it up to the opposition?
00:37No, I didn't say that.
00:37I just said I leave it up to, I said there was some done and my understanding is that that
00:41was one of the things that was there that they had looked at.
00:45But it's not, but my understanding is that he passed the test.
00:49I know that's an area of interest for you.
00:51I appreciate that.
00:52I think a court decided on that issue.
00:54There was a full vetting of the evidence such as it was and a decision was made.
01:01Maybe not the decision you wanted, but a decision was made.
01:04It was a decision that you didn't have, they didn't have to investigate.
01:09So it may not be the outcome you wanted, but it is appropriate for a tribunal to have a
01:15look at issues when there's, when folks come forward with evidence, them to look at the
01:19evidence, apply the facts, apply the law, render a decision.
01:22It's also important that people accept court decisions when they're final.
01:27and you can, of course, appeal if you wish.
