03:00I've been a welder for five years, work on a local nuclear waste site.
03:04Being the contender on Gladiators is like welding.
03:07You've got to be precise, calm under pressure, and hot.
03:12I train six days a week at the gym, but also I do like a little bit of variation,
03:16so me and my friends get together and we go up the fells for a run.
03:19The look at one of them is quite tough and challenging.
03:21The steeper it gets, the harder it gets.
03:23I feel like I thrive in competition.
03:25I like to prove that anything is possible.
03:29You can achieve anything you put your mind to.
03:33My name is Josh.
03:35I am 27 from Glasgow, and I am an area sales manager for a commercial gym chain.
03:40I was in the Royal Marines for a brief time, but my mum took really not well, and I had
03:45a decision to make.
03:46Ultimately, I chose to leave and support my family.
03:49Mum, Claire, had been battling cancer for eight years.
03:54Unfortunately, she passed in August 2024.
03:57I miss you more than I like...
04:00Since then, me and my brother Ben and my uncle Greg have taken guardianship of our little brother Max, who
04:06has autism,
04:07so that comes with a number of different challenges.
04:10With the adversity that Max has gone through over the last number of years, or something that no child should

11:03when I was serving with the army.

11:06I felt this calling to become a vicar.

11:17is different from the norm

11:27I think the place where I get the biggest reaction
11:29to the fact I'm a priest
11:31would be on the rugby pitch.
