00:00on my first blind date i didn't know a blind date is going to be similar to a regular date
00:05but but however for me it's um i got to attract and i kind of got carried away
00:10but then i learned that i supposed to get to know the person first before initiating my love
00:20virtual reality danny arty and sabo from love on the spectrum danny and i are so excited to
00:28be chatting with you guys because a very fun experience is just a few days away now maybe
00:35weeks away laughs on the spectrum part of the netflix is a joke fest tell us about teaming up
00:41for this i mean you guys are hysterical on love on the spectrum so it makes sense that you're going
00:46to be doing this fun comedy festival i really am so it's we're so excited about this um event
00:53yeah we um you know sabo is not a trained actor but he has so many funny um affectations so
01:01we're
01:02excited for uh for us to be funny on purpose this time this is gonna be awesome i i love
01:09that and
01:09also it's netflix is a joke festival is such a big festival taking over la for a few weeks and
01:15everything like that i'm kind of wondering is there anybody you all are excited maybe to run into there
01:22like some comedians that you love so not only i personally have known of tiffany haddish and
01:29um also know i have also known of jeremiah watkins there's one type of comedian that i really wanted
01:35to meet is um conan o'brien oh and i forgot to mention nikki glazer as well who's a huge
01:41fan of me as
01:41well oh we love nikki glazer she is so cool she's the coolest i actually know nikki um she and
01:49i did a game
01:50show together and um so she and i are friends from that and she's just the absolute coolest she's the
01:56most reserving of all the success she's had um so we're we love her she's all like all the cast
02:03of
02:03love on the spectrum absolutely adores her um and yes conan o'brien that's gonna be a dream come true
02:08to meet him oh my gosh can't wait oh that's gonna be so fun which game show did you do
02:12with nikki
02:14i did a show called uh are you smarter than a celebrity it was on amazon prime oh my god
02:18that
02:19is hysterical isn't it so cool that you guys are just casually friends with nikki glazer now i mean
02:23the amount of success and hype that love on the spectrum has had is so beautiful to see
02:29what have been the most fun parts of being famous i think the most fun parts about being famous is
02:37that
02:37um there's a lot of um fan encounter i not only you get all these fan encounters but also for
02:43me
02:43it's for us we we go to so many invitations to different um netflix events and to many different
02:50types of autism and animation events where we get all these invitations it's it's so much fun while
02:56you're being famous well it could also be and it could be very tiring you see yeah yeah yeah the
03:02schedule's
03:03busy the famous part of being famous is to is to record a lot of my cameos and i can
03:11try to be rich
03:14wait i love that you're on cameo what is it like filming cameos because that's like a another full-time
03:20job just i just read them i type up the scripts and i can try to calculate a lot of
03:26money
03:28it's good to calculate all the money and all the funds and it's also very beneficial just to
03:33definitely save a lot for like um save a lot for any of the um anything that's so good way
03:40and
03:40speaking of funds too something we really love about laughs on the spectrum not only is it going
03:45to be such a fun night danny can you talk about how it's also a fundraiser so the laughs on
03:51the spectrum
03:52is a really good fundraiser is because um we people on the autism spectrum are capable can be
03:58capable of having an a independent sustainable um lives if given the if given the opportunity if
04:05given the chance and anybody on the spectrum also can be part of some comedy in the comedy um
04:11entertainment industry yeah absolutely i mean i feel like love on the spectrum has really changed
04:17people's perspective about what autism is and what autism isn't how do you think that it has shifted
04:23the conversation around autism so um love on the spectrum definitely made a big benefit to the entire
04:30media and film industry of how people view portrayals of people on the autism spectrum unlike shows like
04:37the big bang theory or any or the rain man which means um they stereotyped um autism but um the
04:45actual
04:46deal is when we are casted as authentic representation with love on the spectrum this is when we get to
04:52be our true authentic selves and i really am so glad that love on the spectrum is a huge example
04:59of what the
05:00actual representation of autism really is really like there's diversity not just any type of diversity
05:07physically but the diversity of minds that's beautiful i totally agree i would say so we just got back
05:15from washington dc a few hours ago actually and um we were advocating for autism for all different
05:22facets of autism advocacy and um one thing that we were kind of telling everyone all the congress
05:28people that we met is that um one of the beautiful things about love on the spectrum is it showed
05:33that
05:33people on the spectrum want all the same things that everyone else does um but they're not just these
05:39kids that need to be put away and hidden away from society they want love they want relationships they want
05:44to get married they want to have jobs they want to have friends i mean who doesn't want those things
05:48i want those things i'm sure you guys want those things right um so i think love on the spectrum
05:53was
05:53a really incredible i don't know that that was their intention necessarily but i think it did an amazing
05:58thing for the autism community to showcase what's um what everyone else is there that we're more similar
06:05than we are different and that we might need different tools to get to the same place
06:09um like at work if you need a certain type of um um accommodation that's fine but you still want
06:16to
06:16have a job you know you don't want to be just lazing around and wasting away you want to you
06:22want to have
06:22the same things everyone else does yeah the bottom line is um if sabo and i can find love anybody
06:29can
06:29it shows some potential that people on the autism spectrum can people on the spectrum feel encouraged
06:35when they've watched the end of the show right i think so yeah i mean very relatable is your story
06:41of finding love and then we found out at the end of season four that you broke up and that
06:46you have
06:47a new boyfriend i mean because you can fall in love you can fall out of love you can find
06:51a new love
06:52you and henry is such a cute match what was it like sort of experiencing finding love and then also
06:59breaking up i think a lot of people a lot of the fans were really surprised to uh hear about
07:04your
07:04breakup and then also see that you found love again it's a lot you've done a lot yeah there's a
07:09lot that happening throughout the end the four seasons of love in the spectrum but i wanted to
07:13go straight to the nitty-gritty part go straight to the point of um on how um the first relationship
07:19turned out on the first date on my first blind date i didn't know um a blind date is going
07:24to be
07:24similar to a regular date but but however for me it's um i got to attract and i kind of
07:30got carried away
07:31but then i learned that i supposed to get to know the person first before initiating my love
07:38even that was one mistake that i've learned you just have to get to know the person first before
07:44i'm getting before um getting initiating the love and um i didn't feel like i need to get to know
07:51the
07:52person first before initiating that commitment and that was kind of like a big mistake and then the
07:57second and then i went on the second one i thought we were interested in um animation i thought um
08:04shared interest in animation would work that didn't work but now with henry and i this i fell in love
08:11again and it's it felt so great henry and i have been in a relationship for a year and a
08:16half now
08:17and and we were like the the most important bottom line that i've learned from the show is that finding
08:24love is not about finding the right person it's always about being the right person that is how
08:29henry and i found each other and that the truth is finding the right being the right person and find
08:36being the right person just means you focus on yourself love will find the way henry found me
08:42he's um he has an interest in animation even though he doesn't have an occupation in animation
08:48you don't it doesn't occupations don't have to match in order to find love they have to be someone
08:54who understands we it's about understanding each other we grow it's about growing from each other
09:02and learning from each other that matters i love that and i really love what you said about how like
09:08you show up and how you're finding yourself and everything in love i think that is such a beautiful
09:13lesson and it's why this show is so relatable uh for i know you're saying for people on uh the
09:19spectrum but just for anybody kind of to your point everybody wants love everybody wants connection
09:24it's these lessons that people take with them and i'm kind of wondering um are there any lessons that
09:30you both uh have that you want to share as well oh yeah um what would you say what is
09:36your lesson
09:37that you learned about from dating um the lesson that i've learned from dating is social activities
09:44what is the number one thing you look for now in a partner i'm looking for someone in a partner
09:49who
09:49is loyal who is nice who can settle down i can try and then i can go to more social
09:57activities i like
09:58to find someone who has a different who has a career who can make who has a college degree who
10:05who makes lots of money and and i want to get proposed engaged and married oh wow that's
10:14beautiful i love that sabo i love that you are a man about your money yes i'm obsessed with that
10:19wait when is your birthday are you a tourist because you sound like a tourist because
10:24he's in a gemini actually okay his birthday's next month it's coming up
10:30i think what i saw from him is that he he didn't really know what was important to him when
10:36he
10:36started on his journey on the show um he wanted someone who's nice and pretty and like obviously
10:41yes who doesn't want those things i want those things too um but i think when through his dating
10:46journey he kind of realized and he realized what's important to him um obviously he wants someone
10:52who's nice but he also wants someone who's driven um who who who also has a career who wants to
10:59build
10:59a life together um so he's really like matured in what he's looking for in a partner i was gonna
11:05say
11:05those are really because the the values you are uh hitting on about loyalty settling down and those
11:11are just important conversations people have to have while dating because you don't realize
11:17because sometimes i have done this too when i go on a date with someone i always assume we want
11:21the same
11:21things but you don't realize until you have those conversations which are so important to have
11:26it can be wildly different especially in la where we are oh my gosh i can't imagine
11:31loyalty can be in short supply unfortunately how is uh how's dating right now are we currently dating
11:38are we looking for love i'm going on i'm looking at online dinner just like the mixed dating and the
11:43hickeys so i can try to set up my profiles oh that's that's a great way to do it um
11:50sabo and i'm
11:51really proud of you when you prioritize your time of like um starting your speed starting your dating
11:56profile that will be a great way to like and get yourself um started when it comes to like updating
12:01websites though the most important thing about um dating websites is because you really have to also
12:08keep yourself safe in the dating game yeah yeah do you have any tips for staying safe uh staying safe
12:15on
12:15an online dating app danny so um even though i don't really use much of dating apps but the most
12:22important thing is you have to really get to know the person first when you're dating and also take it
12:27at your own pace when you get to know the person yeah that's really important it's good you all are
12:33friendly with nikki glazer because her comedy is so much about dating and relationships i feel when you run
12:39into her at netflix as a joke festival she will have tips but i'm also wondering because the
12:44description for the event says a special guest or two danny can we tease anything yet or do we have
12:50to wait and see i think we i'm not so sure yet but we'll wait we'll wait and see okay
12:55okay that's
12:56exciting very very exciting we really can't wait to see this guys we'll just have to come and watch
13:00yeah i know we're in new york but we might have to fly out yeah it sounds like it's going
13:05to be such a
13:06fun time wait danny while we have you and and sabo and artie if you have thoughts too we were
13:10also
13:10shocked that madison and uh i mean sorry abby and david broke up i think everyone was really surprised
13:17to learn that they decided to part ways do we have any thoughts or feelings opinions advice for for
13:23abby because i know she really wanted to get married um i know um that abby and david and their
13:29families are absolutely incredible and even if their journey ended where it is i mean they're going to be
13:35just fine um they're all amazing people and we're grateful to have them as friends and um i think
13:44as long as they're true to themselves and they're as authentic as danny and smooth are i think they'll
13:50be just fine i think they'll be okay but go ahead danny what were you gonna say i totally agree
13:54what
13:55you're saying um artie and then the fact is um i kind of also feel bad for abby and david
14:01to like
14:01break up it's it's lovely to see but i totally understand why um david doesn't want to get
14:07married um right away i but the most important thing i have to tell for both of them that life
14:14isn't the race it's okay to take your time and i understand um why um i totally understand why they
14:21want but they but they have different um perspectives that's okay and abby when one door closes the other
14:28door will open i love that that's so true and uh for opening doors we also because we talked to
14:34madison and tyler last week and we loved hearing that they can finally you know talk about the
14:39engagement and plan the wedding and it just seems like so much fun and we love to tyler told us
14:45he's
14:45going to sing for madison at the wedding which is going to be very fun it's going to be awesome
14:50it's going to be such a fun wedding oh yeah they said everyone's invited so y'all will be there
14:56yeah you guys will oh my goodness where's our invite i know devin mostly is got engaged yeah
15:02another um another uh person from the show devin also got engaged this year oh that's oh my goodness
15:09i really would like to wish the best for um devin and andrea yeah now are you and henry thinking
15:16about
15:16getting engaged danny or is it too soon well i hopefully we're gonna get engaged um i'm hoping to get
15:24engaged ah that'd be awesome i cannot wait to see whatever wedding dress you get uh to pull out
15:33danny you're gonna kill any dress that you get i'm so excited to see it oh thank you so much
15:40um artie
15:41this girl is such a fashionista she always pulls up and pulls out wait now danny because we kind of
15:48have the same name uh i wonder do we both have a sweet tooth because i have such a sweet
15:53tooth and
15:53my favorite part of a wedding is the cake do we oh yes the cake i definitely love cakes so
16:00much i love
16:01how they decorate and and for me i've always wanted to like them decorate them cakes but though most of
16:07the um the wedding cakes are not necessarily gluten-free case and free but a gluten-free case and free
16:12wedding
16:13cake would actually do definitely do well yes oh yeah it'll be it'll be great one of my friends is
16:18gluten-free and she did a gluten-free wedding cake and it tasted amazing i couldn't even tell
16:21it was gluten-free it's just better for you oh oh my gosh well we are so excited for you
16:26all laughs
16:27on the spectrum is it's going to be so much fun i mean me and evan might book flights because
16:32it's
16:32going to be so incredible it's monday may 4th from 5 30 pm to 7 pm at the laugh factory
16:37in hollywood
16:38also the laugh factory that's such a that's like a comedic icon spot too that's very exciting
16:44it certainly has been like a comedic spot i have been to the um the laugh factory plenty of times
16:50where i did stand-up comedy and they did what it's called the 90s uh animated shows trivia
16:57wow so you're a pro already danny this is oh thank you for you yeah we're we're really grateful to
17:04the
17:05laugh factory that that they're giving us this opportunity um they're kind of groundbreaking in
17:10the sense that they're giving a um a platform to people to neurodivergent voices um like uh like
17:16like danny and svob um really grateful to them and we're really grateful for the opportunity to
17:21to show the world something different and grateful to netflix that they're including this as well
17:26oh my gosh yes and i'm and everybody you just mentioned is grateful for you all because
17:31truly uh you guys are just fabulous you bring the best energy and thank you for talking to us uh
17:36artists but literally when you got off a plane that is impressive literally you all enjoy the rest of
17:43your day and thank you so much again it was so much fun talking to you all thank you it's
17:46really nice
