00:00Great athletes with us today, and we have some young great athletes, some award-winning athletes, and it's an honor
00:06to have everybody.
00:07We're thrilled to have so many young athletes here at the White House, in the Oval Office, on this magnificent
00:13spring day.
00:14And it is indeed a beautiful day to celebrate America's athletic traditions and champions, and physical fitness, and all of
00:23those things that I work so hard at on a personal basis.
00:27I work out so much, like about one minute a day, max, if I'm lucky.
00:32I want to thank Secretaries Pete Hegseth, who just gave a great news conference with General Raisin Cain, and that
00:41was really good, and you're doing very well, aren't you?
00:44They don't like playing games with us. They don't like it at all. You'll see that. As time goes by,
00:50you're going to see it.
00:51I think you've already seen it. We basically wiped out their military in about two weeks.
00:56Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who's done an incredible job. Scott Turner, that everybody knows, and a legend, Linda McMahon, head
01:05of education in our country, and she's doing a fantastic job.
01:09They all are. We're also pleased to be joined by respected sports leaders and members of the President's Council on
01:16Sports, Fitness, and Nutrition.
01:18We really have some incredible people. It's like a who's who. Bryson, how many do we have on the council
01:24total?
01:25Oh, it's got to be upwards of 30, actually.
01:27Yeah, a lot.
01:28And all, all top.
01:30Yes, sir.
01:30If they weren't really good, we don't allow them. You've got to be really good.
01:35Like Gary Player is an example. He won 168 tournaments over a very average career. You know, think of it.
01:44He won 168 tournaments, 18 majors, 9 and 9 senior.
01:48He has more championships than anybody, national championships than anybody. And I played with him. He's very proud of it,
01:58actually. He played with him. On his 90th birthday, he very easily, on a tough course, from 6,800 yards,
02:05he very easily shot a 70.
02:09And it was the easiest 70. And normally, if you shoot a 70, and you're 90, you'd run around, so
02:16excited. Gary's like, all right, let's have a little lunch.
02:20He's the most unexcited human being ever. Because he's been doing it all his life. He's been winning the top
02:26three in history, in my opinion. I don't think it's my opinion. Just based on the record, Gary is top
02:31three. Jack and Tiger and Gary. Greatest golfer. So, thanks for being here.
