00:00Did the Commanders do enough to surround Jaden Daniels with enough talent
00:04to get him back on track, get them back in the playoff mix in 2026?
00:10Here's my question for you that want to answer yes.
00:12It seems like EB wants to say yes, they did enough.
00:15Well, let me just say this.
00:16Sounds like Cakes wants to say yes, they've done enough.
00:19I don't know.
00:19Done enough is a weird answer.
00:21Well, hold up.
00:21Let me finish my question.
00:23Improved.
00:24Here's my question.
00:24If you feel like they've improved and yes, they've done enough,
00:27then why do you want to bring in Brandon Ayuk?
00:28Why do you want to bring in Juwan Jennings?
00:30Why do you want to bring in other people?
00:32Because if you've done enough, you don't need more.
00:35You can always do more.
00:37I mean, do I think that those guys would be an improvement, let's say, over Deami?
00:41Of course.
00:41I feel like they could tweak the wide receiver room.
00:45So how do you answer your own question?
00:47Did they do enough Cakes?
00:49I would technically say no, because I would love to see them add Juwan Jennings
00:52to be the number two.
00:54I don't know if you could ever say done enough.
00:56If you could slot Antonio Williams inside, he's your number three wide out,
01:00then I'd be pretty comfortable with that.
01:03I feel like the team's improved.
01:04They've significantly improved defensively and I think modestly offensively.
01:09You're being defensive because we're not talking about the defense.
01:11Did the offense do enough?
01:12But that helps the offense.
01:13That's the question we want to hear from people.
01:151-800-636-1067.
01:16We put it up as our poll of the day.

01:23Pairs perfectly with a day on the golf course.
01:26Must be 21.
01:27Please drink responsibly.
01:29Have the commanders done enough to help Jaden Daniels, Jason Bishop?
01:33On paper, no.
01:37But you have to wait and see what happens on the field.
01:39Right now, you're saying no, and I agree with you.
01:42I say yes.
01:43But I agree with that.
01:44They've improved.
01:45But that's not the question.
01:47That helps Jaden Daniels.
01:47Your question is flawed.
01:49Have they done enough to help Jaden Daniels?
01:51I think they have significantly helped Jaden by improving the offense,
01:56defense significantly, and modestly on offense.
01:59I mean, yes.
02:00Modestly.
02:01The offense.
02:01But I don't know that you've done enough because you can always add more.
02:05Yeah, I feel like they can upgrade.
02:06That's a problem with that, too.
02:07They can upgrade a wide receiver.
02:08But I think they have.
02:10For me, it's the receiver position.
02:12Everything else is fine.
02:12If they went out and got Jawan Jennings, right, or if they got Diggs, that's a big upgrade
02:20to what they have on the depth chart right now.
02:22If they don't, all right, let's just play it out and see how it goes.
02:25I think Chig's going to be good.
02:26You can vote at Junk's Radio or call us at 1-800-636-1067.
02:30Do you like Williams?
02:31Right now, they've done enough.
02:32Thanks for what you've seen of Williams.
02:34Yeah, but Williams is a rookie.
02:35So I think eventually Williams will be the number two unless they add somebody else.
02:41And then let's just see with McCaffrey, how good he's gotten in the offseason.
02:44But I just want De'Ami Brown to step it up, too.
02:47I want him to be the guy.
02:48He has to be like he was in the playoffs and towards the end of the year.
02:52It was just a year ago.
02:53But maybe, hopefully he got better in the offseason, route running.
02:57Remember, you wanted them to do both draft a wide receiver and sign a free agent wide receiver.
03:03I've also maintained that they're eventually going to end up with Iuke.
03:07I will say that my optimism about it has waned a little bit when I saw how chubby and fatty
03:13and out of shape he looked.
03:14I also heard that guy on Grand Annie's show that's an insider who covers the 49ers.
03:21And he went through a litany of wide receivers that had played in San Francisco who were all
03:25problem childs.
03:26And he said Iuke is the worst by far.
03:28I mean, there's a lot of red flags surrounding him.
03:32I'd be semi-surprised if he wound up here.
03:34But he's going to land somewhere.
03:36I don't know that.
03:37You don't think he's going to be done playing NFL football?
03:39I don't know his personality.
03:40He might be a whack job like Antonio Brown and he might just decide never to play football
03:44again.
03:45Possibly.
03:46Yeah.
03:47It's possible.
03:47That is possible.
03:48Anything's possible.
03:49All right.
03:49Let's go to Gary in Upper Marlboro.
03:51800-636-1067.
03:53Have they done enough to help Jaden Daniels?
03:55I think you have to include what they've done defensively.
03:58If you don't include that, then maybe it's a much different answer.
04:02We've got three no's and one yes.
04:04Done enough, I have a problem with that.
04:06Good morning, John.
04:07Have they improved?
04:08What's up?
04:08Yeah.
04:08Good morning, John.
04:09Yes.
04:10What's up?
04:10Yeah.
04:10I just want to congratulate you guys on 30 years.
04:13Thanks, man.
04:15It's a wonderful thing to be able to do that in the entertainment business.
04:19That's rare.
04:20Yeah.
04:20Thanks.
04:20So congratulations on that.
04:22Yeah.
04:23I don't think they've done enough.
04:25I think if they get Jawan Jennings, like one of you said, or Diggs, I think then that
04:30makes it to a different level.
04:31But right now, they certainly have not done enough.
04:33I love the Rashad White pick.
04:35I think that's a sneaky pick up.
04:38Yeah.
04:38I've always liked him.
04:40Chig, you know, the one thing about Chig's stats, when you play with a young quarterback,
04:45usually the tight end is the guy that the quarterback goes to.
04:48Okay?
04:48So, I mean, you know, his stats are good, and you're killing his quarterbacks, and I
04:55get it.
04:55But usually a tight end is a young quarterback safety blanket.
04:59So that may offset it a little bit.
05:01But I just don't think that they've done enough.
05:04And I understand what you're saying about the defense.
05:07But if you think about how they won in 2024, it's not like they were winning a bunch of
05:11shootouts.
05:11I mean, they were winning going away against some of these bad football teams.
05:15Okay?
05:15So I think the defense can help.
05:18But what you're saying about Antonio Williams is the same thing we were saying about Luke
05:22McCaffrey, the same thing that we were talking about, Jayden Lane.
05:25Luke is more of a stretch.
05:27That was more of a stretch pick.
05:29That was a gamble.
05:31Jayden Lane was really brought to be a returner.
05:35Yeah, but you don't draft a guy in the third round to be a returner.
05:39That's crazy if he did that.
05:40But he was more of an experiment because he failed.
05:43He started out as a quarterback, and he was still getting used to being a wide receiver.
05:46Well, McCaffrey, for sure, has always been a wide receiver.
05:49For sure.
05:50For sure.
05:51And I think Lane was taking it in the fourth round, wasn't he?
05:54No, but Lane was taking it in the fourth round.
05:56Luke, maybe they drafted him too high, but Luke was a bit of a stretch, to be honest.
06:04All right.
06:05Thanks, Gary.
06:05Appreciate it.
06:06And by the way, it's not like Jaylen Lane can't get better.
06:09I mean, just based on what he did in his rookie year, he can improve.
06:13He was solid.
06:14I liked what he did.
06:14I mean, he's a really good returner.
06:16I think that Williams is just way more polished.
06:19Way more polished.
06:20I would agree with that.
06:21I would agree with that.
06:22But I do think they're going to miss Debo.
06:24I will say that.
06:25Debo did add an element.
06:27I can't believe some of these guys are still unsigned.
06:29I know.
06:30There's a handful of them still unsigned.
06:31I know.
06:32Debo, Jennings is out there.
06:34Yeah, Diggs.
06:35Keenan Allen is still out there.
06:36Maybe teams are staying away from Diggs because of the trial with the chef.
06:42But still, Jennings?
06:43I don't know why Jennings isn't signed.
06:44I wouldn't hate Keenan Allen on a one-year deal.
06:46Who's a better guy to bring in and tutor a young guy like Antonio Williams than Keenan Allen?
06:52Like Keenan Allen and Terry McLaurin to learn from?
06:55That'd be a great locker room ad.
06:58Let's go to Mo in Largo.
07:00Mo, what's up, man?
07:01Go with the junks.
07:03Good morning, gentlemen.
07:04Congratulations on your 30.
07:06Thanks, man.
07:07You guys have had a significant impact on my morning for a long time.
07:10Thanks, buddy.
07:11Appreciate you.
07:12Thank you, bro.
07:12What's up?
07:14As far as the topic at hand, when you use the term enough, it insinuates just getting by.
07:21And if you're just getting by, then you can always do more.
07:23So if we're talking about this offense, they've improved significantly.
07:28I believe that there is a legitimate number of people.
07:31Where have they improved significantly, Mo?
07:33Well, let's go through the news.
07:35I was about to tell you.
07:35Has the running back room improved significantly?
07:38Yes.
07:40I'm not convinced of that.
07:41I think it's about the same.
07:42Go ahead.
07:42Explain why.
07:43I believe Rashad White has tremendous vision between the tackles, and he's a threat out
07:49of the backfield as far as catching the ball.
07:51Jerome Ford can house it as a backup, okay?
07:55You still got Bill, okay?
07:57And what?
07:57There's what?
07:58McNichols?
07:59Yeah.
07:59So there's legitimate vision and lateral movement through all four people that are in
08:06our running back room.
08:07So, yes, I think they've gotten better.
08:08Wide receiver, I believe De'Ami's probably better, and I believe Dan Jefferson is a legitimate
08:13professional wide receiver.
08:15And I think he emerges as the number two in this offense.
08:18I think Williams starts at the slot, okay?
08:22And I think Kink with, you know, the ball after catch is a legitimate upgrade.
08:27And if he was consistent with 50-plus catches with the quarterback that you named, okay?
08:33And we can all admit that that wasn't exactly the highest level of quarterback play.
08:37That wasn't.
08:37Right.
08:38You know, and he was still consistent in production.
08:40So, you know, with legitimate quarterback play and reach that motion with a new offensive
08:45scheme, I think this offense is going to take off this year.
08:49So, you know, all the way around between the scheming and the personnel and so forth,
08:54I think they have gotten better.
08:55Yeah.
08:56All right.
08:56Thank you, buddy.
08:57I appreciate it.
08:58Moe's all in.
08:59And they're going to get better strictly if Jaden Daniels is on the field.
09:04Absolutely.
09:05Well, that's the biggest.
09:06That's the biggest thing.
09:07That's the biggest key to the whole season.
09:07So we're talking about all these guys around Jaden?
09:10Well, if Jaden's on the field and is healthy, he's not dealing with injuries, nagging injuries
09:13or missing time, they're going to be better.
09:15Well, that's the whole premise is we're debating really what Robert Griffin III said, where
09:21he doesn't believe that Jaden Daniels was given enough help in the offseason.
09:26Well, we're going to find out.
09:27Here's the thing about it.
09:28They did attempt to go after some guys, and they chose to go to other teams.
09:34Here's the thing about third-round wide receiver picks just based on last year, and Antonio Williams
09:39could outperform each of these guys.
09:41But I'm just going to tell you the guys who were drafted in the third-round wide receivers
09:46last year.
09:46Kyle Williams was drafted by the New England Patriots out of Washington State.
09:51Ten catches.
09:51He did have three touchdowns.
09:53The Lions drafted a third-round receiver out of Arkansas, Isaac Tesla.
09:58Sixteen catches.
09:59Now, he had six touchdowns.
10:00He was a touchdown machine for the number of balls that was thrown his way.
10:04The Broncos, this was the most productive, I believe, that I saw in terms of just volume.
10:08Drafted a third-round receiver out of Illinois, Pat Bryant.
10:1231 catches, 378 yards, one touchdown.
10:15And then the Texans drafted a guy named Jalen Noel.
10:20Actually, similar traits to Antonio Williams.
10:235'11", 201 pounds.
10:2526 catches, 292 yards, two touchdowns.
10:31So, he may develop into the number two receiver, but oftentimes, especially third-round rookie
10:38receivers, their first year, they're not going to have this 50, 60, 70 catch performance.
10:42I'm not predicting that.
10:43I'd say 35 would be a good target.
10:45If he got to 50, that'd be amazing.
10:47Didn't we talk about the over-under being about 38 and a half?
10:50Yeah.
10:50Somewhere in that range.
10:51And Kink said, I'd probably go under that.
10:53I probably would, too.
10:53And usually, I love hitting the overs on rookie wideouts.
10:56I'm tempering my expectations.
10:59Let's go to Steve in Fairfax.
11:00Steve, what's up?
11:03What's going on, boys?
11:04Hey, Steve.
11:04Congrats on the 30 years.
11:05Thanks, man.
11:06I just want to say, I've been listening to how I've been 16 years old, 41 now, and you
11:10guys are awesome.
11:10Really nice of you.
11:11Thank you, man.
11:13I want to say, I agree with E.B.
11:15I was going to say, you know, these guys are playing complementary football now with a better
11:20defense.
11:21They've upgraded the defense.
11:23And, I mean, I think that that's going to make this a big deal.
11:27And I'll point out, too, that we, about six, seven years ago, we drafted a third-round
11:33receiver and became a number one in Terry McLaurin.
11:36And so, you know, I don't know why Antonio Williams can't learn from a guy who's already
11:42taken that path and move forward with it and Terry could show him the way, you know,
11:48to become a number one eventually.
11:50I mean, I know that's wishful thinking, maybe.
11:52But, again, that's, you know.
11:53It's definitely possible.
11:55I think it's within the realm of possibility, I think, at some point.
11:58Yeah.
11:59I like what I see when you see the highlights.
12:01He definitely looks fantastic.
12:02I just love the way he moves.
12:03I see, you know, some of these NFL experts that are breaking down films say, he's my
12:08favorite wide receiver, he was my number two wide receiver, and they get him in the
12:12third round.
12:14I just think the way they're going to use him, I mean, I'm hoping if there's a little
12:19Amon Ross St. Brown in there.
12:21I hope that's the case.
12:22That I'm hoping on.
12:23I mean, if he's even 75% of Amon Ross St. Brown, like, that's a home run.
12:29Yeah.
12:30Let's go to Darnell in Hyattsville.
12:33Darnell, what's up, man?
12:35Y'all with the junks.
12:36Hey, what's up?
12:37Good morning, y'all.
12:38I'm a new fan.
12:39I just started tuning in with TR.
12:40Thanks, man.
12:41Yeah, YouTube over the last few months or so.
12:43Thanks, man.
12:44Definitely happy to be here.
12:45Appreciate you, bro.
12:45Well, yeah, to answer the question, sure, yeah, of course.
12:48But to answer the question, no.
12:50I think the fact that we keep talking about Brandon Ayuk every other week is an indicator
12:55that we haven't done enough.
12:57I think there's talent in the wide receiver room, you know, with Antonio Williams.
13:02But at this point, he's a question mark.
13:04We don't know his ceiling or his floor.
13:07But with all that being said, I think Jaden Daniels in his rookie year kind of showed that
13:12he may not need a crazy wide receiver room.
13:15We just need him to stay upright.
13:17We need the receivers to stay upright.
13:18So, similar situation to last year, if they miss four weeks apiece or five weeks apiece,
13:24then we'll be in a similar situation.
13:25But if we can stay healthy, I think Jaden Daniels already showed that he can throw to a bunch
13:30of wide receiver threes and twos and be productive and serviceable.
13:34I think that's a great point, Darnell.
13:35We talked about it.
13:36When they made the run of the NFC Championship game, you had Terry, but then you had people
13:40like Noah Brown, Zaccheaus, Deami Brown, who's now back.
13:46They were all filling roles.
13:48They didn't really have a strong number two and a strong number three.
13:52It was just guys kind of filling their roles.
13:55Yeah, but wouldn't you like to make Jaden's life easier by having more talented players
13:59at each one of those slots?
14:01Yes, that's why I'm with you, and I would vote no.
14:03They haven't given him enough help.
14:04I'm going to be open for business if I'm Adam Peters.
14:07I'm going to be calling these free agent guys whose values have cratered, and I'm going to see
14:13what the asking price is.
14:14I'm not anti-Debo.
14:15I thought Debo was pretty good.
14:19He wasn't great.
14:21He wasn't great, but he was pretty good.
14:22I like Debo, too, but you couldn't argue that he's markedly improved you when you bring
14:27back the same guy.
14:29But I think he's better than what they have right now.
14:32He's at least proven.
14:33Yes, that is true.
14:33As he's proven right now as a number two receiver.
14:37100%.
14:37Antonio Williams could be better.
14:39And you know what?
14:40We've talked about it 100 times.
14:42Debo's numbers would have been better, much better, if Jaden was healthy all year.
14:46No doubt.
14:47Well, also, he wasn't healthy.
14:49That is true.
14:49I'm convinced he wasn't healthy the last seven or eight weeks.
14:51That's true.
14:52At least.
14:52I was actually surprised last year that Debo didn't run the ball more because we expected
14:57him to get, I don't know, three to four carries a game, and it just never materialized.
15:02So way under that number.
15:03But Debo gave you 72 catches last year.
15:06He probably would have had 85 to 90 if Jaden was healthy.
15:10Pretty.
15:1072 catches and five touchdowns.
15:12Like, you want to draft young receivers.
15:15They needed to get young.
15:16I like everything from Antonio Williams, but nobody here is saying Antonio Williams, even
15:21as a number two receiver, is going to give me 72 catches.
15:23I would not bet on that.
15:25No.
15:26If that happens, then it's the steal of the entire draft.
15:30So that's why I find it hard to say that they've improved the offense for Jaden Daniels.
15:36You want to weave in the defense?
15:37Okay, that's fine.
15:38I don't think anybody's going to argue with you that the defense, at least on paper, should
15:44be better.
15:45I think fairly significantly better.
15:48I don't think they're just going to destroy us and we're going to give up whatever we
15:52gave up last year, 30 points a game, whatever it felt like.
15:54Can't have that.
15:55You've got to be more middle of the pack in points allowed.
15:57It would be a miracle to get a stop.
15:59Yeah.
