Police say three people injured in a house explosion have been released from hospital as enquiries continue into the fatal incident in Bristol.

00:00The explosion happened in the early hours of Sunday morning on a residential street in Bristol,
00:06turning a routine emergency call into a major incident within minutes.
00:10At about 6.17am, we received a call to attend a domestic-related incident
00:15at a residential address in Sterncourt Road.
00:19Officers were sent to the scene, but shortly before they arrived,
00:23at just after 6.30am, there was an explosion inside the property.
00:29A woman and a man have died at the address, and we're treating the explosion as suspicious.
00:35Their families have been updated, and our thoughts are very much with them.
00:40The family of those who died are being supported by specially trained officers
00:43as investigators continue on the complex and sensitive inquiry.
00:48Three people, a man, a woman and a child, were taken to hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
00:57A major incident was declared, and emergency services, as well as Bristol City Council,
01:03have been following well-rehearsed plans in response.
01:07While our inquiries remain at an early stage, at this point, we're not looking for anyone else in connection with
01:14this incident.
01:24A cordon was put in place to protect the public, and to allow inquiries to be carried out at the
01:32scene.
01:33This included specialist searches, carried out by the British Army's Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit, as a precaution.
01:42People living within the cordon were evacuated to a temporary rest centre,
01:47and we want to thank them for their ongoing cooperation and understanding.
01:51Officers are also carrying out inquiries at another property in Speedwell,
01:55which is linked to the man who died.
01:58No evacuations have been necessary at this scene.
02:00Avon and Somerset Police confirmed that searches at a linked property in Speedwell have now concluded,
02:06with officers continuing to assess evidence gathered from both locations.
02:11We know this incident will be of great concern to those living in the affected communities,
02:16and our neighbourhood policing teams will be carrying out patrols to provide reassurance and advice.
02:22And if anyone is worried or concerned, please speak to an officer.
