00:00A Dutch couple and another man have died of suspected hantavirus infection on a cruise ship in the Atlantic, while
00:08three more have fallen ill.
00:10A 70-year-old Dutch passenger died on arrival at St Helena, as his 69-year-old wife died after
00:17being taken to a hospital in Johannesburg.
00:20Meanwhile, a 69-year-old British citizen who has been diagnosed with hantavirus is still in intensive care.
00:28South African authorities said.
00:30Two crew members aboard the ship are also ill.
00:34Local authorities have boarded the ship to examine those showing symptoms, according to the shipping company.
00:40While the ship, carrying 150 passengers and 70 crew members, which left Argentina three weeks ago, is moored off Cab
00:48Verde.
00:49For the moment, no one is allowed to disembark.
00:52The hantavirus is spread by rats and very largely spreads from human to human.
01:02So I'm currently aboard an Airbus A380, operated by Emirates, and which was scheduled to depart from London Heathrow to
01:09Dubai about 15 minutes ago.
01:11As passengers boarded, alerts started to appear on mobile phones, reporting of new drone and missile activity in the region.
01:18The aircraft pushed back on time and taxied towards the runway, and literally, just as we were about to take
01:23her off, the plane was turned around.
01:25The pilot informed passengers that operations in Dubai had instructed the flight to return to the gate.
01:31To keep you updated as the situation evolves.
01:36I do apologize, and I'm sure you do appreciate the ever-changing nature of the situation down there at the
01:42moment.
01:43So back to the gate for us.
01:45I'll be back in touch as we go on stand.
01:47Thanks for your understanding and your patience, and I'll talk to you soon.
01:51Now, speaking to other passengers on this plane, there are no concerns around safety.
01:56In fact, many UAE residents can point to the track record of authorities there in maintaining their safety.
02:01And it's clear that safety also remains a top priority for Emirates.
02:05This is kind of being treated as a precautionary operational decision in line with standard procedures.
02:11But as passengers, lots are frustrated.
02:14We obviously want to get there, and we wait while the airline continues to monitor developments.
02:28And it's really fraught with that ahead of it.
02:30Without bus as passengers, it's sad to figure out what the airline is currently taking on.
02:32And it's enjoyable because there are any carriers on theay non-mumatic circulation side.
02:37There are three carriers, including the wires cab whenever the airline is under.
02:39The parentheses can take that .
03:46muss.
03:58Diplomats, accredited in Azerbaijan, visited post-conflict areas,
04:02as peace with Armenia is becoming a reality.
04:05The two countries already have trade deals and are making high-level visits,
04:10which both sides describe as historic after decades of conflict.
04:15Karabakh, once an area of conflict, is becoming a reconstruction site, symbolizing the end of the feud.
04:21The process is also receiving support from the broader international community.
04:26Because we're so interested in seeing the progress in the renovations and we're fully support as the Netherlands,
04:34as part of the EU, the reconciliation process between both countries, Armenia and Azerbaijan.
04:41Wherever we can, connectivity, investments, if we see opportunities,
04:45we're also from the embassy, we're looking into opportunities to help and support.
04:50We are welcoming reconciliation and we are welcoming peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
04:56That process is very important for Caspian Black Sea region and a good example for the future
05:03and a good example how could two countries solve very long-term conflict with respect to international law.
05:12This is my first chance to visit this part of Azerbaijan and it's really important for me to see the
05:18work that's been done.
05:19President Trump played last August in the Washington summit was critical.
05:23We've made a lot of progress since then.
05:25When Vice President Vance was here, he signed the strategic partnership with President Aliyev in February
05:30and every day we've been taking concrete actions since then to implement the peace and our bilateral partnership.
05:36Recent diplomatic engagement shows that Armenia and Azerbaijan appear to be continuing efforts to move the normalization process forward.
05:45As these discussions continue, reconstruction efforts in Karabakh are also advancing,
05:50with infrastructure projects shaping a new phase of development in the region.
05:56Nine artifacts dating from the 2nd to the 7th century are being returned to Uzbekistan
06:02after being recovered by the Metropolitan Police in London.
06:06The items were seized in November 2025 during an investigation codenamed Operation Inherent Vice
06:14after being illegally exported from the country. They were presented at the Uzbekistan Embassy in London before the transfer.
06:22The objects include statue heads and fragments of gypsum frescoes linked to periods associated with the Bactrian and Kusan empires.
06:31Obviously the message is historic, is cultural, is a lot to do with the historical memory of the Uzbek people
06:41and might serve as a message
06:44for more and more such artifacts to head back to their home country.
06:49The handover took place during an international cultural event in London linked to the anniversary program marking 690 years since
06:58the birth of Amir Timur.
07:00Discussions during the event focused on international cooperation to prevent the illicit trafficking of cultural property and to strengthen legal
07:09frameworks for its protection.
07:11The artifacts will be transferred to the Center of Islamic Civilization, a newly opened museum and research complex in Tuscant.
07:18The Center states that the items will be preserved, studied and displayed as part of its collection.
07:25Our current President has been able to provide the support of our community and a group of people who have
07:32been established.
07:40The representatives of the Center say efforts to recover additional artifacts will continue through cooperation with museums, galleries and auction
07:49houses.
08:19The Center states that the
08:20I looked at them behind me and all of them went.
08:22Unfortunately, all of them went with the pain and the pain.
08:26And this was almost after a couple of years,
08:30I decided to send it to them to help them.
08:42They sent their messages,
08:45their dreams, their dreams, their dreams
08:47during the four months of work.
08:52Of course, there is a group that is considered
08:55the maximum number of people in Gaza,
08:57which is located in a local area
09:00but also in a non-nagy group and a non-nagy group.
09:45It's time!
09:57So the footsteps, they symbolize both our relation to our past
10:05and the steps we take towards the future.
10:09They also symbolize the trace we leave.
10:15So we leave a trace but we also create a new future in the footsteps.
10:38This was something I saw earlier but it was blank
10:41so I didn't know what it was all about.
10:42But we got to write on it and I was able to commemorate my son
10:47who passed away in 2008.
10:49So I put something up in his memory.
10:51So I think that's pretty cool.
10:53We can leave something behind and other people can enjoy it.
10:56So we're glad we came at this time of year.
10:58Perfect time.
11:13We've received a lot in a dramatic scene.
11:14We could have been coming in between these two rooms.
11:14We'll see you later on.
11:14We'll see you later.
