00:00Meanwhile, how about 41-year-old LeBron James?
00:03So minus Luka, about to take on the Thunder squad.
00:06That head coach J.J. Redick says one of the best teams ever.
00:11I said to a bunch of people yesterday, off-site, that we're, you know, talking about this series
00:17to me.
00:17I said, yeah, the Thunder is one of the greatest teams ever in NBA history.
00:21That's just the reality.
00:22They aren't.
00:23They're that good.
00:23I think our guys recognize that and respect that, and we know what kind of task we have
00:28in front of us.
00:31Love seeing our friend Melissa Rowland right there, California Post, as she's interviewing
00:35J.J. Redick.
00:36Excellent stuff.
00:37I'll tell you something, J.J. knows what he's doing.
00:41By the way, he's right.
00:43We've talked about it, and that, by the way, when we called the Thunder one of the greatest
00:47teams in the history of the NBA, that obviously, the Thunder fans on X on Instagram really grooved
00:55on that, and I wasn't being subject to hyperbole.
00:58Obviously, it's true.
00:59It's 100% true.
01:01But when Redick says that, he knows exactly what he's doing, and he could also say it
01:06so his team, you know, is a little loose and, you know, playing with House's money.
01:09Not that I'm going to tell LeBron James, you know, nice little career, just, you know, you'll
01:14have a gentleman sweep and, you know, 3-2-1 Cancun.
01:18That's not how LeBron is wired.
01:19Man, I think J.J. knows exactly what he's doing.
01:23I also think it's important here to stress this.
01:26What LeBron James was able to do, when you look at the game the other night, was unbelievable.
01:3228 points, 8 assists, 7 rebounds, and I thought this was one of the most remarkable performances
01:39by a player in a big spot.
01:41Hyperbole on my part?
01:43I don't think so.
01:44LeBron is 41 years old.
01:47There's still no Luka Doncic.
01:48He's on the road in Houston.
01:51If they would have lost that game, there was no way they would have been able to pick up
01:54the pieces emotionally and got back to Los Angeles and eliminated the Rockets.
02:00If they would have lost that game and they became, and they lost Game 7 and they became
02:04the first team in NBA history to blow a 3-0 lead, that would have been a disaster.
02:08And James made sure that wasn't going to be the case, okay?
02:13That was just incredible.
02:14So, when you look at it from the standpoint of what LeBron was able to do, what the Lakers
02:19were able to do, watch that whole game on Amazon.
02:22Friday night was such a great basketball night, wasn't it?
02:25With the magic collapse, that was wild.
02:27Then R.J. Barrett, that incredible shot.
02:30And then the Lakers, the great Iron Eagle, with Stan Van Gundy doing that game on Amazon.
02:36And not one moment, watching that game, that I think Houston was going to find the way to win.
02:42That's because of LeBron.
02:43That's because of J.J. Redick.
02:45And now, when you consider James at age 41, and I still always believe it's Michael Jordan,
02:51LeBron James, but you can now add, at age 41, James doing this.
02:56You look at a playoff series in NBA history, oldest player to ever lead a series in points.
03:0341.
03:0441 years old, and he had the most points in that series.
03:07That's just incredible.
03:09I mean, think about James' entire career, right?
03:12Kid out of Akron.
03:13You know, he's the youngest to do this, oldest to do that.
03:16It's who he is.
03:17It's what he does.
03:18So celebrate and appreciate and understand everything that goes into the equation when
03:23you look at it here for the genius of LeBron James.
03:26I do think Oklahoma City is going to win this series in five.
03:30Vegas has, game one tomorrow night, 15 and a half points spread.
03:34I don't think that's crazy to like OKC in that one.
03:38Lakers did everything that they could.
03:40I still, it's a remarkable accomplishment and achievement that they're still playing.
03:44So I really think that you're going to see, at the end of the day, you're going to see
03:49this team ultimately bow out in the second round.
03:52You know, I was always all in on the Lakers all year, always all in on the Lakers until
03:58everybody got hurt.
04:00Now, to Reddick's point, they're going up against a historically great team.
04:04As great as the Lakers played on Friday nights, I give them no shot of beating Oklahoma City.
