07:17combination of that with KD would put them in the space where I think a lot of people thought the

08:16took a step forward as kind of being the guy that maybe replaces uh Brooks or Dylan Brooks is the

08:23of the the muscle and the physical uh intense guy on this team which I think maybe they thought he
08:29could do you look at this Clint we can talk about point guard all that stuff none of them took

08:36forward and I know what he may said yesterday or the other day after the game I I just I

08:43disagree with him none of them met the expectation that I think most people had for him for them
08:51under those guys maybe Jabari Smith maybe Jabari Smith but I think he was up and down and not real
08:58consistent at times but I think he took a step as an offensive threat as a role player but outside

09:03him maybe none of them met the expectations that we thought of and and it's not a coincidence that
09:11you got one guy that comes in and meets it and then you got about five other guys that just

09:16either where they were or get worse well look I think I think the Rockets got major problems and
09:21and I think what you're alluding to is is one of the bigger pieces that's a problem because it's so
09:26many guys right it's everybody not named Kevin Durant and everybody not named Fred Van Vliet um you've got a
09:34major developmental issue or you've got a major issue of guys that can't play in a more structured
09:40offense that consists of one of the greatest scorers of all time and potentially uh you know a a
09:45championship caliber point guard like the the the reality of it is is again there's there's several
09:52several issues but the fact that we watch we watch games and the guys that you just all mentioned
10:01appear to be the same guys as they were last year in fact they they were lesser than they they
10:07backslid I
10:08would say they all regressed with the exception of maybe as you said Jabari and maybe Reed Shepard who
10:13is a year behind the rest of those guys I think but um I would say they all regressed another
10:19year
10:21of the same brand of basketball from those guys individually and a backslide schematically in
10:28what they're doing is a lesser product so yeah I think that's one of the problems and I think it's
10:33probably the bigger problem because it it consists of so many guys but I agree I agree wholeheartedly
10:39with you it's just as I said before the most frustrating part of it is one reason I like Jabari
10:43I liked him before so I may be a little bit biased with this but like Jabari at least showed
10:50that fire
10:51of frustration in the moment when when these when these obvious struggles were there uh trying to
10:58figure things out and took his game to to the next level it looked like he kind of was at
11:03least trying
11:03to take the bull by the horns and trying to to uh to establish some level of of uh ownership

11:10that moment I I just the rest of these guys I I just think leave so much to be desired

11:16to be the best player on the floor it take Fred Van Vliet for instance like you don't have to

11:21player on the floor to have that that that what am I looking for the the ability but the the

11:31the the give me the ball and let's get this stuff right mindset and impact on a team and none

11:37guys no that's the best way I can say it I don't think any of those guys on the floor

11:43not making the guys around them better I don't think any of those guys are making the guys around
11:50them better I I think they are all it's it's almost and I'm not saying they're selfish but but it's
11:55almost like it's it's it's all just I'm gonna do me to the best of my ability and and and

12:03making guys around you better making a system work you know thinking beyond just the one-on-one
12:09basketball and and I'm gonna be the best athlete on the court kind of deal there there's just not
12:13none of that's there yeah it's you gotta have somebody on the floor run that makes everybody
12:20around them better yeah yeah and and you know there's there's some thought that shingoon was
12:25that type of player with his ability to pass and his ability to do a lot of different things
12:29and and maybe even a mid-thompson but um but that did but that stuff didn't materialize this year and
12:37I think you said it earlier in the crosstalk which I think is is very very real and that is
12:42there was there was there was a there were conversations where we would have this out on
12:49on the text line with uh with people online with people on social wherever about hey
12:58the rockets have a couple just untouchables right a men thompson is not getting like he's not getting
13:06traded like if you want to if you want to call about a trade and you want to include a

13:12it better be anthony edwards or something like that or you're we're not even talking to you get hung

13:57on this roster there is no player where you're there's no boncaro on this roster where you look at this
14:03and you're like hey okay this guy's showing us something we we can't do all they are they're a roster
14:09of jalen greens yeah right last year jalen green was expendable and was somebody that they could listen
14:15to with the right deal they are they have a roster full of those guys and that is a tough
14:21tough thing
14:22to look at when you go from a year earlier to having at least two guys that i think some
14:28people
