00:00So then let me ask you about a guy, Joe, who maybe then is a little bit more proven in
00:04Omar Cooper, who they drafted, obviously, with a first-round draft choice, traded back up to get him at pick
00:0930 overall.
00:10And this is the thing that I've struggled with with Cooper.
00:15It doesn't mean it's right, but everybody watched every Indiana game for the most part, right?
00:23Right.
00:25Never, never did anyone go, yeah, that's potential round one pick Omar Cooper.
00:30I don't know what happened.
00:32I don't know if people weren't watching.
00:34I don't know what happened.
00:35I'm not acting like I know, oh, I'm telling you he's not a round one talent.
00:40I don't remember a player being on such a spotlight team, getting no round one buzz, and then it's like,
00:52by the way, Cooper's the best.
00:53It's so bizarre to me, Joe.
00:56Like, you think about that Indiana team.
00:59Surratt was the guy when he was out there.
01:02Charlie Becker, to feel like he came.
01:05Charlie Becker's getting round one hype for next year, right?
01:08We're seeing it.
01:09I'm hearing about Nick Marsh because he transfers in.
01:11I just, the Cooper stuff has really tripped me up seeing all this hype for him that wasn't there during
01:17the season.
01:19Understandably, but I think that when you look at Omar Cooper, Kevin, the biggest thing is, and you take the
01:26Big Ten championship game out because he got injured, I believe, on the first series of that game and didn't
01:31play the rest of the way.
01:33In big games, he stepped up.
01:35You know, you look at the game against Miami, the yards after the catch, right?
01:39The ability to catch a slant and take it to the house or take it 20 yards because he's very
01:45difficult to bring down.
01:47He's still a bigger body type.
01:49The game against Penn State, that amazing catch at the back of the end zone in a pressure situation.
01:54I think that that's what scouts look at for him to get that grade.
01:59But I'm in agreement with you.
02:01If we're talking, hey, did you watch Indiana football?
02:04It was Becker, it was Surratt, and Cooper was basically the third man, but he found his way to the
02:10end zone a lot of times in big matchups, and I think that's what translates, Kevin, to the next level.
02:17Well, I, um, there are some things in the Omar Cooper, like, box scores that I love.
02:28I love, love dominating a bad team, right?
02:33Because you say, hey, guess what?
02:34I'm a different level of athlete.
02:3610 for 207 and four against Indiana State.
02:39Hey, no, I like that.
02:40I like, I do.
02:42Um, and then he just got super consistent with the touchdowns.
02:45I mean, he was almost a touchdown a game.
02:48I don't mean average.
02:48Like, it was almost, I score every single game type of stuff from Cooper.
02:53I think he's exciting.
02:55I think there's a world the Browns might regret not taking him.
