The Detroit Lions already boast one of the NFL’s most explosive offenses, but heading into 2026, they may be unlocking an even more dangerous version of it. At the center of that evolution is running back Jahmyr Gibbs, whose unique skill set is poised to thrive under new offensive coordinator Drew Petzing. Through his first three seasons, the former University of Alabama standout has totaled 49 touchdowns, the most ever by a player in that span in NFL history, and the most by any player before turning 24. Those numbers alone would suggest a finished product.
