Prime Minister Keir Starmer said the UK is facing the impact of “a war on two fronts” pointing to the conflicts in Ukraine and Iran and their effect on energy prices and households. He arrived at the European Political Community summit in Armenia where he will discuss these issues with other world leaders.

00:00Obviously we're facing a war on two fronts, the Ukraine war which is now in its fifth year
00:05and the Iran conflict. Both of those are impacting every single household in the United Kingdom.
00:11We can see that already in relation to the impact on energy. So it's vital that we work
00:17with international leaders on both fronts. So today I'll be discussing Ukraine and what more
00:23we can do to support Ukraine and make sure that we get the lasting peace that we need.
00:28And of course on Iran and getting the Strait of Hormuz open. We're working with European
00:34and other leaders on that. That will directly affect everybody back at home because that
00:39is impacting all of us and it's vital that we do that work.
