00:00My name is Sylvie Chevrier. I'm the alliance coordinator. I'm basically a professor in management at University Gustave Eiffel, so
00:12the French partner of this alliance.
00:15And I'm committed to align the action of everyone so that we go into the same direction.
00:24The story started already six years ago when we had just this blurred idea to do something together.
00:35We thought it was the right time to engage our communities in a European project to introduce more global perspective
00:44in the curricula of our students,
00:47but also to open new opportunities for our staff to learn from each other and, most importantly, to support our
00:56cities with research and skilled students for a better future life in the city.
01:02So, basically, our alliance focuses on inclusive, safe, sustainable and resilient cities, and we are here to reach this objective
01:13all together.
01:14Our current challenge is to involve as many people as we can from the community, because for everyone, there is
01:25something in Pioneer that could be interesting.
01:28So, for example, for the student, it's to get a European view on their specialization, let it be a discipline
01:37or a topic, depending on their studies.
01:41We want them to be aware of how their topic is being addressed in different countries and enrich their view
01:49and prepare them for employability on the global or at least European market
01:57and to strengthen the union of skills in Europe.
02:00We would like to have our staff to get to know each other, to learn from each other and to
02:08build community of practices and, most importantly, to provide benefits for our cities with these new skills and new research.
02:17Our current challenge is to show people that there are some inspiring projects, sub-projects, in the alliance.
02:32You can be a researcher and find peers to work with to submit a European proposal.
02:39You can be a teacher and develop collaboration projects with peers and students and, once again, exchange practices, learn together,
02:51or you can be an external stakeholder
02:53and have some interest in involving students and researchers to address your challenges.
03:00So, there's something for everyone and now it's time to turn our dream into actions.
