00:09Yeah, my first time, I've been at Dragons for four years and the same time that the
00:15Cup's been around, I've been around the girls when they've come to our trainings and talk
00:19to them but I'm so excited to be able to really involve myself in it and educate myself and
00:26help educate the kids that are playing as well.
00:28Yeah, it's a great initiative and it's local to our area, being a local girl, it's something
00:33that I'm definitely excited to be a part of and excited for the Dragons to be a part of,
00:38you know, it's something that everyone should be educated on and we have a platform, especially
00:43being at NRLW Play and the community also, so using that and just educating and, you know,
00:50been around it.
00:56Yeah, so important day. The Dragons love to be involved every year. They've been doing
01:01it for four years now so it's such a great initiative. Obviously a really important area for our catchment.
01:09We want to support in any way we can but obviously raising awareness of domestic violence and using the
01:16vehicle of Rugby League to, yeah, create those conversations and, yeah, kind of bring awareness to domestic
01:24violence and show people the resources and how they can access help and everything like that.
01:30Yeah, it's great to be able to use Rugby League to engage the kids because I think younger kids it's
01:36really hard to grab
01:36their engagement so obviously utilising sport is a great way to do that and then to have those conversations
01:42off the back of it and you can relate little areas to sport itself but, yeah, it's been a great
01:50way to start
01:52those conversations and, yeah, support a lot of people in our area.
01:56Yeah, it's one of those taboo topics that isn't really talked about so it's great to just start the
02:01conversations, raise awareness and then action can come off the back of that. It's really important
02:06people know how to access help, know that they're not alone in those situations. There's a lot of people
02:13going through different things in their area. They can start conversations between themselves and know
02:18how to access help and might be supporting friends, it might be themselves, it might be someone they
02:22know, but at least start those conversations and, yeah, can see action off the back of that and
02:27people know they have that support.
02:51So what?
02:55Yeah, one of the teams that...
02:56So I read that.
02:57Is your assistant for the NRLW team right now?
02:59Ah, I used to be. I'm a showy.
03:02So what do you got the flip?
03:03I got the flip.
03:05But the boys have been doing their captains run at the facility,
03:08so it's pretty much everything but game day.
03:12Yeah, it's good.
