00:29Here to talk about my debut single, Waking the Damned, and the plans that I hold for 2021.
00:38About Waking the Damned, this is a very personal song for me.
00:43It's about existentialism. It's about asking myself the question, who am I musically?
00:49And finding the answer. Which is, I'm a metalhead and this is the birth of Jason Payne, the metalhead.
00:58In this career, I'm going to pursue new metal and alternative metal.
01:04Which is always the thing that I wanted to do in the first place.
01:10And it's about a chapter of my life, when I felt compelled to do something that I wasn't.
01:16You know, to be someone that I'm not.
01:19I felt compelled to play classic rock and art rock, which is good, which I like, but it's not what
01:25I was put in this world to do.
01:27Because I'm a metalhead and my instinct every time I grab a mic or a guitar is to go there,
01:34you know.
01:35So this is me embracing my own uniqueness and who I am artistically.
01:39Hopefully, this song will inspire my fans, listeners or whoever is watching this for the first time to take charge
01:49in their lives.
01:49That's why I made the video clip and the artwork and the lyrics as well in the most abstract way
01:57that I felt it was possible.
01:59I want the song to have my own personal message, but I want people who listen to the song to
02:05have their own message of the song.
02:07And I want to inspire people to take charge in their lives.
02:11If you feel like you have no control of a situation, take charge of it, like I had to do.
02:16And I want you to know that you're the captain of your soul and the master of your own path.
02:22In fact, you decide if you go left or right, not anybody else. That song is above.
02:29Plans 2021, hopefully, is going to be a big-ass year for us.
02:34We are going to put out two EP's, we are going to hit the studio in January.
02:39So what can I promise to my fans and to my future fans?
02:44A lot of new, fresh music that you never heard before.
02:48More video clips, some visualizers, some lyric videos.
02:53And if COVID allows, our first UK tour.
