World leaders arrive in Armenia for eighth EPC summit

World leaders from nearly 50 countries, including Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, are meeting in Yerevan, Armenia for the 8th European Political Community summit.

00:01World leaders have begun arriving in Yerevan for the 8th meeting of the European political community under the motto,
00:10Building the Future, Unity and Stability in Europe.
00:15Some 48 heads of state and government have been invited to take part in the event, including all 27 members

00:24The European political community is an intergovernmental forum for political and strategic discussions about the future of Europe,
00:32established in 2022 after Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
00:37Apart from the meeting, the first-ever EU-Armenia bilateral summit will take place on the 4th and 5th of

00:45focusing on strengthening relations, in particular connectivity and energy, transport and digital.

00:59will represent the EU, while Prime Minister Nicole Pashian will represent Armenia.
