00:12a real big way right after mike coulter posted a whole bunch of pictures of them filming brand new
00:18episodes for next year so we will break it all down and why it took marvel so long to get

00:24to doing more classic heroes for hire and defenders stuff from the old marvel tv days
00:29there's even been talk of agents of shield stuff coming back in the next couple of years too
00:34recently there was a report from illuminate affirmed the tracks viewership of streaming series
00:38and they were claiming that daredevil season 2 born again season 2 had lost about half of their
00:44audience from season 1 meaning literally half the number of people would have completely had to
00:48check out on the show which is why i think marvel was so happy to see mike coulter accidentally maybe
00:54totally on purpose mark ruffalo and tom holland looking at you leak all the team up pictures with
01:00the classic netflix defenders back again while they were filming episodes in a big daredevil matt murdoch
01:06season 3 plot point specifically that people also think gives away some of what they're doing with
01:11iron fist now too that he's coming back if you have been watching season 2 then you've probably seen
01:17they sidelined a ton of their newer characters pretty quickly that they introduced during season
01:21one because they felt like they weren't really connecting with fans and it seems like they
01:25decided pretty early on that when they were making season one and season two that they needed to go
01:30full defenders and just bring everyone back like pull the ripcord bring them all back as soon as
01:34possible to avoid losing more of the audience and hopefully get a lot of the fans to turn around on
01:40this side of marvel tv like in a positive direction like people coming back to marvel tv instead of
01:45bailing on marvel marvel losing half the audience on shows if you do believe the numbers that they're
01:51reporting is a completely separate issue there are a couple of very obvious reasons why that's happening
01:56like a number of reasons in addition to fans just not vibing on the current storyline during daredevil
02:01born again season 2. so while we're breaking down all this brand new defenders luke cage iron fist
02:06heroes for hire stuff we'll also try to explain what the real problem is with marvel tv and why it

02:11them so long to pull the ripcord on this and just bring everybody back because a lot of us several
02:16years ago when they were releasing spider-man no way home just assumed the minute you saw daredevil
02:20that they were planning to bring everybody back really soon and when we thought really soon we
02:25thought that meant more like a year or two not like four or five years i am the only one
02:30that can
02:31connect you with luke where is he he is overseas he's doing the lord's work so you don't have to
02:38but during daredevil season 2 episode 7 jessica jones talks to mr charles who is val's lackey
02:44at the cia and the oxe company and hails a lot of her legwork that the agency does managing all
02:49the superheroes and villains they hired to do black ops for them around the world thunderbolt style
02:55and he revealed luke cage agreed to work for them so that jessica jones did not have to and i

03:00think to keep the government and oxe val in general away from their daughter danielle cage named after
03:07danny rand iron fist her godfather in the comics so i'm also assuming that that's the reason for
03:11naming her danielle in the mcu they're just doing the comic book version kristen ritter also said that
03:16it had been seven years in the mcu timeline since the events of jessica jones season three during that
03:22finale so a lot has happened implying that there's been a lot more heroes for hire luke cage iron fist
03:27stuff going on the background that he has become even closer with luke cage and that is why they named
03:32their daughter after him based on her age too it seems like she was born a couple years after the
03:37end of the jessica jones series and luke cage season two like not that much time went by before she
03:42was
03:42born all the mentions raised all kinds of questions is val putting together more thunderbolts team since
03:48she lost her last team after they formed the new avengers and they're too public now and she can't
03:53use them to do all the shitty black ops oxc work that she was doing before you remember during the
03:58thunderbolts movie all those separate characters before they teamed up were separately contracted
04:03by val and oxc to work for the cia and do a lot of their black ops missions regularly around
04:08the world
04:08she didn't stop needing people for that even though they formed the new avengers she just replaced them
04:13with other new heroes and villains with superpowers or crazy skills jessica jones just said specifically
04:19they were looking for people like them with quote-unquote abilities basically people with powers
04:24bullseye suddenly checking his phone were putting together another new team there was another idea
04:29to bring together another group of also remarkable people to see if they could become something more
04:35something even shadier to see if they could work together to fight the battles that were way too
04:39shady for the regular avengers to fight speaking of which thank you to marvel rivals for sponsoring this
04:45video marvel rivals is doing a collaboration with the marvel cinematic universe the movies the tv shows
04:50featuring a brand new limited time mode in special activities in time square called the avengers
04:56mode for season 7.5 after the new game update phase one of the path to the avengers doomsday event
05:01begins
05:02with an all-new asymmetrical combat mode inspired by iconic avengers moments one player will control loki
05:08and six players will fight against him as heroes when you play as loki you gain access to overwhelming power
05:14and unique enhanced abilities and stats use mind control to turn enemy heroes against their teams
05:20summon controlled heroes onto the battlefield to fight for you and just recreate the chaos that loki
05:24brought in the original avengers movie when you play against loki you team up with six other heroes
05:29to take him down and under certain conditions you can summon the hulk recreating probably one of the
05:34most memed moments from the avengers movie when the hulk thrashed loki the times square special event
05:40activities include a watch party zone sitting together with other marvel rival superheroes in an interactive
05:45viewing area trigger new hero animations and stay for a period of time to earn rewards watching the
05:51marvel movies inside marvel rivals with your friends and other players there's also three photo checkpoints
05:57where you can recreate famous mcu scenes from the movies with interactive poses take photos and claim
06:03rewards so if you want to see what would happen in the avengers movie if loki had one you can
06:08actually
06:08do that now they also just added black cat as a playable character and a brand new pve mode so

06:24exactly what luke cage was doing or where he was only that he was doing the lord's work somewhere else

06:35maybe that means that he's on madripoor based on the timing they're mentioning in episode seven i
06:40believe that they're actually setting up a season three storyline for that we'll probably get at
06:44least a luke cage cameo scene in the season two finale to just continue setting that up and some
06:48iron fist set up too i'm not expecting an iron fist cameo but i wouldn't be surprised if they
06:52mention iron fist you also remember he's a billionaire he has crazy money so even if he wasn't also
06:58forced to work for val in oxc is like a new thunderbolts character i wouldn't be surprised if he's using
07:03his money to help luke cage the showrunners tease that season three is going to have a completely
07:08new storyline kingpin will be back this is his santa like appearance during the episodes kingpin santa
07:15it's not clear what he's doing during season three though stalking around new york city but he is still
07:19around there will be multiple new villains but they haven't said who the main villain is and if they're
07:25tied to the hand or spider-man brand new day because the hands seem like they're a pretty big plot
07:29point during spider-man brand new day and they were big during daredevil season two on netflix
07:35also the main villains of the defenders team-up series season three will take place after the
07:40events of spider-man brand new day so we will see what they explain about the hand in the mcu
07:44during
07:44that period but i do think they're going to say that season three takes place before avengers
07:49doomsday even though they're releasing a few months after avengers doomsday i think around march
07:54sometime next year don't ask i'm not in it i'm not we will see how they handle that they had

08:00problem with spider-man brand new day for a little while where doomsday was going to come out before
08:03it but brand new day was meant to take place before it in the actual timeline now that isn't really
08:08an
08:08issue with the movies because they rescheduled doomsday but it does create a couple issues for
08:12the ground level stuff like all this defender stuff they're doing during season three all the new
08:16iron fist storyline everyone is talking about is them adapting a version of the era when iron fist
08:21wore the daredevil costume and pretended to be daredevil around the city so that people would
08:26think that matt murdock and daredevil were two completely separate people i have not seen the
08:31season two finale yet as me posting this video but my early theory is that matt murdock is outed as
08:36daredevil in the finale somehow somebody does it either he does it or kingpin outs him and based on
08:41mike coulter's picture that he posted of them filming a scene with matt murdock in prison matt murdock gets
08:47arrested for being a vigilante and all the stuff that he did that was illegal while he was daredevil
08:52because he did do a lot of actual illegal stuff so kingpin wouldn't have to lie about some of the
08:56stuff he did to get him arrested for real and at the beginning of season three maybe they'll do the
09:01devil in cell block d storyline for him specifically where he basically has his own version of what
09:07happened to punisher when he was in prison during the netflix season two like basically same concept
09:12where like all the prisoners come after him because they're after daredevil and while he's in jail
09:16maybe iron fist wears the daredevil suit so the people in the law in general like police the
09:22judges start believing that matt murdock really wasn't daredevil and therefore helps him get out
09:27of prison faster but this is also probably leading to the other big reason why the defenders fully come
09:32back luke cage iron fist jessica jones to fill the void left in daredevil's absence in the rising
09:38threat of some bigger new villains that he's not around to help because he is stuck in prison so like
09:42somebody else needs to step up and start saving the city spider-man can't do this all by himself
09:46which also raises the question to spider-man brand new day like how do they end that movie
09:50is he still on planet earth is he still able to actually go around web sling new york city and
09:56save people now addressing the elephant in the room daredevil losing half of its audience from season
10:02one if you do believe the numbers i think that they did lose a lot of their audience even if
10:05they
10:05didn't lose fully half probably the biggest reason is people just not vibing on the storyline that the
10:11original showrunner set up during season one and then kevin feige pumped the brakes on fired those
10:17people brought in a bunch of the netflix people to come back and fix season one but they only shot
10:23like one new episode in a couple new insert scenes and then had to recut most of season one which
10:29they
10:29had already filmed which is why season one felt so all over the map and so frankenstein and it sounds
10:36like those people when they were developing season two also decided immediately to bring back the
10:41defenders classic characters and go full-blown defenders as quickly as possible
10:47but when they were figuring this out a lot of the actors the defenders actors like mike coulter
10:52kristen ritter danny rand iron fist were off doing other projects so there's a question of availability
10:58which is why we're only seeing like a little bit of jessica jones even though we
11:02saw her in all the trailers they hyped her up big time during the season but she has barely barely
11:08been in the episode so far and they waited till episode six to actually introduce her for real
11:14also causing more people to turn off on daredevil season two like well we're not vibing we were
11:19hoping for more defender stuff to happen way quicker everybody post all your reactions in the

11:26has been talk of them doing some other kind of defenders team-up type of project but they might
