00:00So first of all, welcome to IMS.
00:02So much for IMS.
00:04First of all, how are you satisfied with your career and how do you see the glory of your journey?
00:16Well, when I started, my journey was more out of need than choice.
00:25When I started, things started unraveling for me.
00:31The TV industry was very generous for 6-7 years, 8 years.
00:37After that, a conscious decision to do a different medium happened.
00:45I think I had given everything that I had to TV and TV had given everything back to me.
00:50So that relationship ended on a very sweet note.
00:54And it didn't happen.
00:56At least there was a comma.
00:59And some time I took to realize, okay, what is the next thing that I can do?
01:05I think the arc of my career is just like my mindset.
01:12Like how I like to just go with the flow in the most layman and common language that we know
01:19of.
01:19Go with the flow is I really abide by.
01:21And that's how my career has been.
01:24I have let things happen to me and then did the best that I could with that situation.
01:30And today it has landed me over here with amazing creators, amazing actors that have worked in the past couple
01:38of years.
01:39So I think it has all worked out well.
01:42Sir, what has the result of Glory?
01:47The entire world of Glory.
01:49If you are also in the past couple of years and you are listening to the details, you will instantly
01:54say it.
01:54Because it's boxing, it's haryana, it's power, crime, thriller, loyalty, friendship, betrayal, revenge, everything.
02:05And all the characters are meddling in these worlds.
02:10My character, Arvind Shekhawat, is that loyal friend, authority, law-abiding public servant,
02:23who also has to protect his friend, who also has to protect his uniform.
02:28And in the past couple of years, the professional and personal lives collide.
02:33And how humans function in that. The true human comes out.
02:38So I think that's what makes Arvind's character very interesting, very layered.
02:58The conflict is always there. I think if the conflict in a character is not there, I think it might
03:04not be engaging.
03:05So, on the facade, Arvind Shekhawat's character is the law-abiding officer who goes by the rule book.
03:16Also protects, loves his friend, loves his family, loves his wife.
03:20But when things get tough, like I said, the true human comes out.
03:25Aapke surviving instincts, survival instincts jo bhaar aate hain, that's what is conflicting in a human's life.
03:32And that's what makes it very interesting.
03:34You have seen a certain image in a certain image.
03:39Do you have a certain attempt at the image of the glory?
03:46I think characters jo bhaar aate hain, I don't think of it ki wo image coi aisa khas create kar
03:54hain.
03:54Of course, back TV days mein, there is a certain formula which sort of work.
04:00There are certain characters, there are certain faces which get attached to a certain storyline.
04:05But in web series and all, and now even TV is I think growing.
04:10Toh bhaut alag-alag faces apko dikhne milte hain, bhaut alag characters dikhne milte hain.
04:13They are not necessarily heroic or ambitious or strong or macho.
04:18So, I think that's a wonderful thing ki ki insaan bhaut type ki hote hain.
04:23And ab hame sab dikhne mil rahe hain.
04:25And it's so fresh to watch.
04:27And Arvind Shekawat happens to be a very, very big example of that.
04:34And I think I am just very grateful to be playing this role in a show like Roli
04:38with these actors, with these creators.
04:40Yeah.
04:40I think kuch scenes and they were not the most physically or emotionally draining.
04:58Aise scenes nahin tae wo.
05:01But wo itne give and take wale scenes tha.
05:05With Pulkit bhai, Divyendu bhai, with Kashmira.
05:09I think that I wanted to crack with this.
05:13Ki how much can I give and how much can I receive.
05:17And when the actors work together na, even if there are three actors, four actors or just two actors in
05:21a scene.
05:21But if you work together in that scene, it brings out a very different flavour.
05:27I think that was, I won't say difficult, but it was very engaging.
05:31To be there and work in it.
05:34If you have a controversial or completely great character offer,
05:39your current image is completely opposite.
05:42Kya aap resh loge ya image ko better?
05:48I think Ek Baragar, if I know the material, I am not scared of doing anything controversial or anything.
05:55But it should not hamper the ethical values of human nature.
06:00I should not be propagating misinformation with that character.
06:06That I am responsible for.
06:09That I think every creator should be responsible for.
06:11And even if they are unknowingly, unintentionally, that's where the prep comes in.
06:18That's where your research comes in.
06:19So I think woh hameh bahut careful rehna hoga.
06:21Because in this world of information is so easily accessible.
06:27But misinformation is also easily accessible.
06:30Logo tak bahut jaldi pahuch jati hai.
06:32And log bahut jaldi cheezo bhe believe kar leete hai.
06:34We as creators have to be very responsible in our narratives that we choose.
06:40And I think we shouldn't be afraid to play controversial characters for sure.
06:44But in what light and what is the impact which is happening on the audience.
06:50That we should be responsible for.
06:59Well, serious show tha kaafi.
07:02So woh hameh time pass kane ga mauka nahi mala itna.
07:05And specially when I was there, we had a lot of scenes to cover.
07:10And Divya in Dubai and Pulkit bhai, they were shooting back day in day or back to back.
07:16So they were exhausted.
07:18But we had a couple of moments here and there.
07:20I remember ek din toh, we had just, it was just the three of us.
07:24It was a long scene that day.
07:28And for lunch we just sat down.
07:30We were shooting in some dhabha or restaurant.
07:33And we sat down and had this lavish north Indian food.
07:37Filled our tummy to the max.
07:40Ithna hum khana bandi nahi kar rahe.
07:41Thay khana bhi thoda late aya ta ta hum chit chat kar rahe the.
07:44I think those were, that was a good afternoon spent.
07:47And then we did the scene of course.
07:49And we had fun together again.
07:52TV say film space mein aana ek natural permission maana jata hai.
07:56Lekin kya aapko laga ki aapko kutko dubara purge karna pari ga?
08:02Yes, I felt so.
08:04And I was not shy.
08:06I was like, I did not feel shy to do it.
08:08Ki it's TV is a very different medium.
08:11It's a very different audience.
08:12And if I consciously wanted to get away from that.
08:15Aur mujhe asa laga ki mujhe ab web series of films mein karna hai.
08:18So I had to break the pattern of my craft.
08:22And I had to indulge in a little more training.
08:25I had to read stuff.
08:27And I had to know who's doing what.
08:31Toh I think this is all part of the process.
08:33If you want to do something then you.
08:36Aap wo effort dalte ho ki.
08:37Mein is dunya mein aur kaise fit ho sakta ho.
08:39And I don't think it's a.
08:41It should be one that you should shy away from it.
08:50Yeh project kitna riskit har aapke liye.
09:01I think this show wasn't risky at all.
09:04I think it's.
09:05Iska graaf si upar hi hai.
09:07From day one when I heard about the script.
09:10When it was.
09:11It came to me.
09:12When I was asked to audition for it.
09:14When I got the details.
09:15I think day one say.
09:17It was always looking up.
09:18And till date.
09:19People are seeing it.
09:21And they're actually loving it.
09:23They're loving Arvind Shekhawa.
09:24They're loving the world of boxing.
09:26They're loving.
09:27All the characters in there.
09:29So.
09:30I was never scared.
09:31To do it.
09:32I was.
09:33Very very excited.
09:34And.
09:36And if you do your part well.
09:38Your people are going to love it.
09:39And that's what matters.
09:42On this sable.
09:43Kya apso lagta hai hai ki TV actor ko film mein bhi.
09:47Abhi bhi.
09:48Under.
09:49Underest.
09:50Ya.
09:50Underestimate.
09:51Gya jata hai.
09:53TV actor wala ye label.
09:55Thoda problematic hai.
09:56Mujhe lagta hai.
09:57Kya ki actor actor ho ta hai.
09:59And.
10:00TV demands a certain.
10:03Style of acting.
10:05Films.
10:05Certain films.
10:06Demand a certain style of acting.
10:09Web series.
10:10Kya bhi alog hot hai.
10:11But.
10:11Aapko.
10:12Sab cheeze honesty ke saath hi karna hai.
10:15Kuch cheeze speed se karna hai.
10:16Kuch cheeze aaraam se kar sakte ho.
10:18Kisi me thoda kam prep.
10:19Kya ki aap ke paas.
10:21Information kam hai.
10:23Kisi me thoda zyadha prep.
10:24Kya ki aap ke paas time or information zyadha hai.
10:26I think you have to adapt.
10:29And that's the best part about it.
10:31TV se.
10:32I think TV.
10:33Made me ready for what I am today.
10:36Learning up the lines.
10:37Being impromptu.
10:40Last moment cheeze jo badal jati hai.
10:42To adapt to that.
10:43So.
10:44It's all.
10:45It all goes to TV.
10:47Let's see.
10:48Let's see.
10:48Aapke future projects.

11:13Ma uske baare me aur baat ne karung abi.
11:15And.
11:16Another show that I am very excited about is for Sony Liv.
