33:25it's peak summer and the roads are nice and dry you can make those sharp turns you can break really
33:30quickly and we're in the midst of monsoon season people not used to driving in this weather
33:50summer vacation's winding down but the crime doesn't really stop it just finds a new way to
33:56continue traffic stop is definitely like a jack-in-the-box you never know what you're
34:01going to get most of the time you're hoping it's going to be peaceful and you can just have a
34:05conversation potentially educate someone other times people are going to bail out you chase them
34:10on foot but this guy right now they're not failing to maintain their lane but they're kind of swerving

39:09so uh we arrived the information that we got was a man has followed a woman home
39:13we surround the property we hear screaming in the back
39:17and now see this guy and there's a uh a vicious dog in the backyard with
39:22the first officer goes inside and there's blood all over the place
39:26he's literally on the ground screaming saying don't touch me get away
39:30uh and then we're able to get him in the cuffs
39:33and get the ambulance started
39:35does he seem tweaked out

39:39i'm sorry i'm sorry ma'am go ahead come on

39:43i'm a detective with a night detective unit i just got a couple
39:46follow-up questions um this dude what was he doing
39:50uh well when i first came in when i first got here because he was the right time
39:55when i and i heard he got in the door and i locked it and he came up and he
39:58was sat right
39:58here and then i ran in but i told my girls we got into the room i called him and
40:03then
40:03we told you guys but he was sitting here for like maybe four minutes and then he got up and
40:08then that's when we started hearing him he's being banging hard on the door so um we could hear him
40:14from our door being shut in there being back in our room he was banging on it okay
40:20so how did this all make you feel terrified yeah okay all right
40:27she has no idea who this person is um followed her all the way to the house
40:32up until the point she got inside and the children actually saw the suspect on the roof through the
40:39skylight um scared him to death the female's calling her husband frantically to get over there
40:46and ultimately somehow the family dog ended up biting the suspect
40:57i'm glad that we got there when we did and we've got the bad guy in custody he followed
41:04this woman home trying to get inside the residence if if i were that husband getting the frantic phone
41:10call from my wife and my kids i i wouldn't i don't know what i would do
41:30this is definitely one of those cases where i find peace knowing that we did our job to put him
41:36behind
41:38bars when i retire i'll have these moments in my job that will become precious memories to me
41:47truly feel in my gut that we really made a difference
41:53that day will come where i have to hang up my hat and let the new generation take over
