00:04This is the sound of highly acidic metal-laden mine water as it rushes beneath a home in Ashton
00:10Field, New South Wales. The drainage system at 36 Murphy Circuit was set up to direct the toxic
00:17water into backyard channels. Where it pools, there lingers a distinct worrisome smell. The
00:25corrosive water has eaten away at the concrete slab underneath the family home. Rusty orange
00:32mine water bubbles up constantly through gaps and cracks in the ground, and timber beams have
00:37had to be placed against exterior walls for structural support. The neighbours here have
00:43been fighting a decades-long battle against the New South Wales government after finding themselves
00:48in the path of the toxic water, which flows onto their land directly from government-owned property.

00:56Don't be afraid of a waste of tenho, but there's a few other points that you will see
00:58about the nature of thislikely, that I think we'll have to use this as a part of occupancy
00:58or that we'll have to use a website at the local restaurants in this summer.
