A disgusted resident says raw sewage spills across his driveway every time there is heavy rainfall - and he can “see everything”.  Mick Goodrich, 68, says the raw sewage runs from the domestic drain outside his home in Maidstone, Kent, across the pavement and into the street.

00:00Right, but we moved into the property in 2019 and not long after that we started getting

00:08problems with drainage overflowing into our drive. Got in touch with Southern Water. Initially

00:17they did decide to come out and do something but the things that they've done have not

00:21alleviated the problem. It's ongoing and I tried to explain to them that it's a combined

00:27system which takes the rainwater and the sewage and they're adamant that it's not, even though

00:34their engineer has been out and seen it. The problem is ongoing and it doesn't matter what

00:39I do, I can't get a resolution from Southern Water and we keep trying and nothing happens.

00:48The results of this problem is the fact that every time we get torrential downpours, which

00:53happen quite a lot lately, we end up with other people's sewage all down our drives.

01:00They come out and clear it up reasonably quickly but that's about as far as it goes. It gets

01:08pushed up to an escalation unit and then it stops.
