00:02I think when the, let's say, the dot-com, how would you say that, the dot-com era started, it
00:11was a lot of hope, it was exciting, it was these people that wanted to do something beautiful.
00:15Um, and the silver lining behind all those people is that, if you're trying to build a perfect product, we're
00:23trying to build perfect things, the truth is, it's imperfect people building them, and I love the exploration of that,
00:31it's these people trying to achieve perfection while not being perfect themselves and wasting their time externally instead of looking
00:39internally for that reflection of fixing themselves, and they ignore that.
00:44Do not accept cookies. Don't accept cookies. Um, I, I, it's, with technology, it's a double-edged sword, it's something
00:53that's so beautiful and can connect us, and you can learn, you don't have to, you know, waste, waste time's
01:01not the right way, but we, we have access to information now, so, lightning fast, and that's a gift for
01:09people that might not have had the education, or opportunity, or even ability,
01:14to reach it, but we have it now at our fingertips, and at the same time, it could be a
01:19very dangerous tool, which could make us lazy, and, and not connect, and distance ourselves from people, so it's like
01:27this weird gift, and, you know, curse.
01:31Will they be happy about it? Uh, we, we presented it in San Francisco to, uh, people out there, and
01:39they all were like, wow, you, you got it right, this is kind of what it is. Um, I think
01:44what's beautiful about Jonathan Glatzer's writing and, and storytelling is, like, this show is really about the humanity of the
01:51people in these bubbles.
01:53We could have put the bubble in the film industry. We could have put the bubble in the finance industry.
01:58Jonathan's able to talk and tell the story about these people in these heightened circumstances. We just chose to do
02:06it in the tech world. So, what I, I love about the show is that we can put it in
02:11any kind of, in, industry or whatever, but we chose that because it's so influential and important to modern society
02:18now.
02:19We'll see you next time.
