00:08Papa Francisco beatificará a two Colombianos.

00:10Monseñor Jaramillo Monsalve, known as the Obispo Arauca, is one of them.

00:14Hernán Orlano, Director of the Department of History at the University of La Sabana,

00:17explains who he was.

00:18Monseñor Jaramillo Monsalve was born in 1916 in Santo Domingo, Antioquia.

00:23He was ordained as a sacerdote of the International Missionaries of Yarrumal in 1940

00:29and on the 11th of November of 1970 was designated by the Papa Pablo VI

00:36as vicario apostolic of Arauca before the diócesis.

00:40For more than 19 years he was the pastor of that community

00:45until the moment of his assassination in Fortul, Arauca, by the ELN.

00:51The second Colombianos that beatificará al Papa Francisco is Pedro María Ramírez Ramos,

00:55more known as the Cura de Armero.

00:57He was born in La Plata, Huila, in 1899, and belonged to a conservative family.

01:02Pedro María Ramírez Ramos was murdered on the 10th of April of 1948

01:05by being a conservative slave in the middle of a liberal.

01:08He was born in the middle of a liberal arts school.

01:12He was born in the middle of a liberal arts school

01:12and at the 12th of age he was sent to the seminary of Garzón,

01:17known as the city of Mitrada, Huila.

01:36when he received the ordination sacerdotal.
