00:09You are watching News Plus Globe. On Tuesday the Justice Department announced felony charges
00:14against Comey. The alleged threat. An Instagram post from almost a year ago showing seashells
00:21arranged as 86-47. Let's go. First, what are the charges? Comey faces two felony counts.
00:29One for making a threat to take the life of the president, another for transmitting a threat
00:33across state lines. Each charge carries up to 10 years in prison. Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche

00:49seashells he found on a North Carolina beach walk. The shells were arranged to form the numbers 86-47.

01:16post and apologized at the time. I didn't realize some folks associate those numbers with violence.
01:22It never occurred to me but I oppose violence of any kind, so I took the post down.
01:27On Tuesday, he posted a video statement. I'm still innocent, I'm still not afraid,
01:33and I still believe in the independent federal judiciary, so let's go.
01:37That is your James Comey update. This is his second indictment in months. A separate case from September
01:43was dismissed by a judge, now the Justice Department is trying again.
