00:08There's been a lot of interesting discussion lately about the Hulk and how the MCU might
00:13evolve his character, especially if big crossover events like Avengers Doomsday or Secret Wars
00:19decide to go all out with darker versions of heroes. And one idea that keeps coming
00:25up is bringing the Hulk back to something closer to his original, more dangerous form, but
00:30not just that. Because Marvel actually has an even more extreme version of him called
00:35Clue. If the MCU ever wanted to show what happens when Hulk completely loses control, this is
00:41probably the version they'd look at. To really understand why this matters, it helps
00:46to look at how the Hulk works in the first place. Hulk exists because of Bruce Banner's
00:51suppressed anger and trauma. The gamma radiation didn't create something new out of nothing,
00:57but instead brought all that buried rage to life. That's why Hulk is so powerful, because
01:02he's basically a physical manifestation of emotions that were never properly dealt with.
01:07But even though Hulk is often destructive, he usually has some kind of limit. He might
01:12get angry and smash things, but there's still a part of him that doesn't want to go too far.
01:16In a strange way, Hulk often just wants to be left alone. He avoids people, he reacts when
01:23attacked, and although he causes chaos, there's still a sense that he's not completely out of
01:27control. Now, Clue changes that completely. This version was introduced in Avengers and X-Men
01:34Axis 4, created by Rick Remender and Laniel Francis Yu. And the easiest way to describe him
01:41is that he's Hulk's Hulk. That might sound confusing at first, but it basically means he's the rage
01:48inside the Hulk himself. So instead of Bruce Banner's anger turned into Hulk, Clue is the
01:53Hulk's own suppressed rage finally unleashed. That idea alone makes him terrifying, because
02:00it removes the last bit of restraint. If Hulk already represents uncontrollable anger, then
02:06Clue is what happens when even that anger isn't being held back anymore. There's no hesitation,
02:12no second thoughts, and definitely no concern for who gets hurt. This version of Hulk comes
02:18into play during a major event involving Red Skull, who uses the telepathic powers of Charles Xavier
02:24to become something called Red Onslaught. That power allows him to mess with the minds of heroes and
02:30villains across the world, flipping their moral alignment. So, heroes start acting like villains,
02:37and villains start acting like heroes. Because of that inversion, Hulk transforms into Clue. But it's
02:44not just a simple personality change, because physically he looks different too, more monstrous,
02:49more intense, with features that make him feel less human than ever. And mentally he's on a
02:54completely different level. While Hulk might avoid hurting people unless pushed,
02:58Clue actively seeks destruction. One of the most shocking parts of this storyline is how Clue treats
03:05other heroes. He doesn't see them as allies anymore, because he attacks them without hesitation.
03:11At one point, he even tries to bite off Nova's arm, which shows just how far gone he is. This
03:17isn't
03:17just a stronger Hulk, but a completely unrestrained force of violence. Speaking of Nova, the fight between
03:24Clue and Nova is what really shows how powerful this version is. Nova is a cosmic level hero,
03:30someone who can go toe to toe with threats across the galaxy. So when he confronts Clue, you'd expect
03:36it to be a more serious battle. And it is, but not in the way you might think. Nova throws
03:42everything he
03:42has at Clue, including a massive energy blast fired directly into his brain. That kind of attack should be
03:49devastating, especially because it's targeted and powerful. But Clue barely reacts. He survives it,
03:56recovers almost immediately, and then hits back with enough force to send Nova flying across the planet
04:01from Arizona all the way to Paris. That moment alone says a lot, because it shows that even someone
04:08with cosmic level power can't really stop Hulk when he's fully unleashed. Eventually, Nova manages to push
04:15Clue into space, which technically counts as a win. But even that isn't a permanent solution,
04:20because Hulk has survived space before, and there's no reason to think this would be any different.
04:26What this fight really proves is something fans have debated for years. When Hulk stops holding back,
04:32he might actually be the strongest force on Earth. Not just strong in a general sense,
04:37but on a level where even the most powerful heroes can't truly defeat him.
04:41And that's what makes the idea of bringing Clue into the MCU so interesting. Right now,
04:47the version of Hulk we've been seeing is very controlled. He's merged with Banner, he's calm,
04:52and he's more focused on thinking than smashing. That works for certain stories,
04:57but it also means we haven't seen the full potential of the character in a long time.
05:01So if a movie like Avengers Doomsday or Secret Wars wants to raise the stakes,
05:06bringing in a version like Clue could instantly change everything. Imagine a scenario where something
05:12maybe magic, maybe cosmic power, maybe even a multiverse event, causes a moral inversion similar
05:19to what happened in the comics. Suddenly, heroes aren't acting like themselves anymore.
05:24In that situation, Hulk turning into Clue would be one of the most dangerous outcomes. While other
05:30heroes might become villains, none of them have the raw power that Hulk does. So a fully unrestrained,
05:36morally inverted Hulk would become one of the biggest threats the Avengers have ever faced.
05:41It could also work as a character moment for Bruce Banner. Even though he's learned to control Hulk,
05:47Clue represents something deeper, something that isn't fully resolved. It's the idea that there's
05:53always more anger beneath the surface, and that control can be broken under the right circumstances.
05:59That kind of storyline would fit really well in a massive crossover event,
06:03because it adds both action and emotional weight. The Avengers wouldn't just be fighting another
06:08enemy, but one of their own. And that always makes things more intense, because it's not just about
06:14winning, it's about saving someone. Another interesting angle is how Clue is actually a tragic character.
06:21He isn't just evil for no reason, but he's the result of years of pain, anger, and conflict.
06:27Hulk has been hunted, feared, and pushed into countless battles, and all of that builds up over
06:32time. Clue is what happens when that build-up finally explodes. That's why some stories even hint
06:38that Clue could have more depth than just being a villain. There's a possibility that under the right
06:44circumstances, he could be something else. Maybe not a traditional hero, but something more complicated.
06:50That kind of ambiguity could make him even more interesting in a movie setting. Even though the
06:55Axis storyline eventually reverses the inversion and brings Hulk back to normal, the idea of Clue
07:01doesn't just disappear. It raises the question of whether this version could return again,
07:06because once something like that exists, it's hard to believe it's gone forever.
07:11And honestly, the MCU is at a point where it can start exploring these deeper,
07:15darker versions of characters. After years of building up the universe, audiences are ready
07:21for something that pushes things further. Bringing in Clue wouldn't just be about showing a stronger
07:26Hulk, but about exploring what happens when control is lost completely. In the end,
07:32Clue stands out as one of the most intense versions of the Hulk because he represents the absolute worst
07:37case scenario. No restraint, no morality, and no limits. And even though that makes him terrifying,
07:43it also makes him one of the most compelling directions the character could take, especially
07:48if the MCU decides to go all in on a story where heroes are pushed to their breaking point.
