00:07If you ask a longtime fan of Marvel Comics about Maestro Hulk, chances are they'll get excited
00:13almost immediately, because that version of the Hulk is one of the most intense and terrifying
00:17interpretations of the character ever created. And honestly, a bunch of fans believe the live-action
00:23Marvel Cinematic Universe could really use something like that right now. Because although
00:28the MCU has done a lot of interesting things with the Hulk over the years, many viewers
00:33feel the character has slowly moved away from what originally made him so powerful and unpredictable.
00:39For many fans, Hulk was always supposed to be a creature driven by anger and raw strength.
00:44That's the whole point of the character. The more angry he gets, the stronger he becomes.
00:49But over time, the MCU introduced a different direction with Bruce Banner, merging his intelligence
00:55and the Hulk's power, creating the version known as Smart Hulk. That version, played by
01:01Mark Ruffalo, appeared prominently in Avengers Endgame. At first, it felt like a natural step
01:06for the character, because Banner had finally found a way to balance his two identities.
01:11But although that idea worked for the story at that moment, some fans started feeling that
01:16something important was missing. Hulk stopped feeling like a dangerous force of nature. Instead
01:22of the unpredictable monster who could smash entire armies, he became more like a calm scientist who
01:28happens to be green and strong. Because of that, a bunch of viewers began saying that the MCU had
01:34turned Hulk into something closer to a nerd Hulk, and that the character had lost the explosive rage
01:39that made him so exciting. That criticism has been growing for years, and it's why people keep hoping
01:45that future MCU projects might bring Hulk back to a more intense form. Some fans think upcoming films
01:52like Avengers Doomsday or even Secret Wars could finally restore that classic angry Hulk. But even
01:58if the character becomes more aggressive again, there is still a bigger question about whether simply
02:03repeating the old formula would actually solve the problem. After all, audiences have already seen
02:09the classic rage-driven Hulk in several earlier MCU films. Going back to that same version might feel
02:15nostalgic for a moment, but it wouldn't necessarily push the character forward. And that's exactly where
02:21the idea of Maestro Hulk starts becoming really interesting. Because Maestro isn't just another angry
02:27Hulk, he's something far darker and more complex. In the comics, Maestro is essentially a future version of
02:34Hulk who has survived a devastating apocalypse and slowly evolved into a tyrant. Instead of losing
02:40his intelligence when he transforms, he keeps the mind of Bruce Banner while also possessing Hulk's
02:46overwhelming strength. That combination creates a villain who is both incredibly powerful and incredibly
02:52dangerous. The story of Maestro takes place in a bleak future, where a massive nuclear war has almost wiped
02:59out humanity. The world has been left in ruins, and a few survivors are scattered across destroyed cities
03:05and wastelands. After the catastrophe, a group called Advanced Idea Mechanics begins experimenting on heroes
03:12who were exposed to radiation, including the Hulk. They want to understand how these characters survived,
03:18when so many others didn't. Eventually, Hulk escapes from captivity, but he is no longer the same person.
03:25The years of radiation exposure and witnessing the destruction of civilization have changed him.
03:30Because he still has Bruce Banner's intelligence, he begins believing that he might be the only one
03:36capable of rebuilding the world. When Hulk travels across the devastated US, he discovers that many
03:42famous landmarks are completely destroyed. Places like the Hoover Dam and Mount Rushmore are reduced to rubble,
03:48which only reinforces the idea that the old world is gone forever. But although much of civilization has
03:55collapsed, there are still small groups of survivors trying to rebuild their lives. One of those groups
04:00lives underground beneath Washington DC, and their entrance is guarded by Machine Man. When Hulk arrives
04:07there, he is eventually brought before the community's ruler, and that ruler turns out to be none other than
04:12Hercules. At first, their meeting almost feels friendly, because Hercules treats the encounter like an
04:19old-fashioned brawl between warriors. But it quickly becomes clear that this version of Hercules has changed
04:25as well. Instead of acting like a heroic champion, he now rules the remaining people like a gladiator king
04:31who cares more about entertainment and dominance than helping rebuild society. Hulk initially refuses to help
04:38humanity because he blames people for causing the apocalypse in the first place. But things change when his
04:44old friend Rick Jones reminds him that many of the people Hulk cared about were human. That moment forces
04:50Hulk to reconsider his perspective, although his methods of helping the world quickly become darker and more ruthless.
04:57To challenge Hercules, Hulk secretly creates powerful robotic warriors known as the Dogs of War.
05:04These machines eventually confront the ruler, leading to a massive battle. However, Hercules easily defeats
05:11Hulk in their first clash, which only pushes Hulk further down a path of anger and desperation. Later,
05:16Hulk returns with help from a villain named Vapor and manages to poison Hercules. But even that alliance
05:22doesn't last long, because Hulk ultimately betrays Vapor as well. Over time, his personality becomes
05:29increasingly unstable as the radiation and trauma twist his mind. Eventually, Hulk abandons the idea of being a hero
05:37altogether and embraces a new identity. He begins calling himself Maestro, turning into a ruthless dictator
05:44who rules the shattered world with absolute power. In this future timeline, he even forms alliances with characters
05:51like Doctor Doom, although those partnerships rarely last, because both men crave control.
05:57The Maestro storyline eventually leads to an incredible confrontation when rebels steal Doom's time machine
06:03and bring a younger version of Hulk from the past. That younger Hulk battles Maestro in a brutal fight,
06:09and the final twist involves the future tyrant being sent back to the moment of the original Gamma Bomb explosion
06:15that created Hulk in the first place. Being caught in that explosion again destroys Maestro, at least temporarily.
06:22But like many comic characters, his story doesn't truly end there. The idea of Maestro keeps returning
06:28because he represents one of the darkest possible outcomes for Bruce Banner. Now imagine something like
06:34that appearing in the MCU. Instead of just another angry Hulk smashing buildings, the story could explore
06:41what happens when the smartest version of Banner becomes corrupted by power and trauma. That would
06:46be a completely different type of Hulk story. Interestingly, the MCU might already be setting the stage for
06:53something new with Bruce Banner. It has been confirmed that Hulk will appear again alongside Spider-Man
06:59in the upcoming Spider-Man Brand New Day. That appearance will mark the next major on-screen chapter for
07:05the character. Some reports even suggest that Banner could temporarily return to a more savage
07:10version of the Hulk in that movie. If that happens, it might signal that Marvel is slowly moving
07:16away from Smart Hulk and exploring new directions again. And honestly, a Spider-Man film could be a
07:22surprisingly good place to shake things up, because Peter Parker's world tends to involve street-level
07:27chaos and unpredictable threats. Seeing Hulk lose control in that environment would immediately create
07:33tension. At the same time, there are still a bunch of unanswered questions about Bruce Banner's life
07:39after Endgame. For example, the Disney Plus series She-Hulk Attorney at Law introduced Banner's son Scar,
07:46but the story barely explored where he came from or what happened during Hulk's time on the alien planet
07:51Sakaar. There are also lingering threads involving characters like Jennifer Walters and the transformation
07:57of Red Hulk in Captain America Brave New World. All of these pieces could eventually connect to a larger Hulk
08:04storyline. And that's exactly why a maestro concept might work perfectly for a future MCU movie or even
08:11a dedicated Hulk solo project. It would give Marvel the opportunity to reinvent the character once again,
08:18while also exploring darker themes about power, survival, and corruption. Instead of repeating the same
08:26''Hulk gets angry and smashes everything'' formula, Marvel could show what happens when Banner's
08:33intelligence and Hulk's strength combine in the worst possible way. That kind of story would not
08:40only satisfy long-time comic fans, but it would also give the MCU a version of Hulk that feels fresh
08:46and unpredictable again. Because at the end of the day, Hulk has always been one of Marvel's most
08:52fascinating characters. He's not just a monster or a hero, he's both at the same time. And if the MCU
08:59ever decides to introduce Maestro Hulk, it could easily become one of the most shocking and powerful
09:04arcs the franchise has ever attempted. And that's that for today's video, thanks for watching and we'll see you
09:10in the next one.
